SheafferPop Star Wars R2-D2 Gel Rollerball Pen with Chrome Trim

Honestly a bit gutted about this pen. It is lovely to write with, arguably nicer than my Mont Blanc, but after 7months and genuinely not that much usage, the lid just falls off. There is zero bite/click from the cap. This means I have got ink on my hands, clothes and other surfaces. I contacted Cross/Sheaffer about a warranty repair/replacement but with their £6 handling charge and cost of signed for shipping (which they insist on), there isn't much in it compared to the cost of a new pen, so the warranty seems pointless. To be honest, whilst it is lovely to write with, I have had longer lasting pens for a £1. Not what I would expect from a quality brand. Gutted as it was a Christmas present.

Bought this for my partner who is Star Wars mad and loves fountain pens as a stocking filler for Christmas.I bought it for the novelty not particularly expecing the pen to be a particularly good writer. I also bought a converter so it can be used with bottled ink.My partner has quite a collection of fountain pens varying in make and price; the most expensive costing almost £200.Out of all his collection the pen he chooses everyday for most everything is this Sheaffer Darth Vader pen.He was so impressed with it I also bought the Yoda and R2D2 ones too which he was delighted to have.Well worth the money. A very nice pen for the price!

I've been wanting to get a cartridge pen for ages so when I saw these Star Wars pens I just couldn't say no!! Usual Shaeffer quality (although for some reason I thought it'd be metal...) and a delight to write with.

It feels cheaper than I would like, very plasticky. But it does write really well and the nib is nice and smooth. Wouldn't buy it again but it's not bad.

I am impressed with the smoothness of writing; the reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 stars though I am very satisfied with writing quality, is because of the cheap plastic body. Due to that, the pen does not feel premium.
