Received Fake Product for the price of Original
Received fake product for the same price as authentic ones. I tried the 150 lb gripper as soon as I received the set and it was easier to close than my 90 lb plastic gripper and also on comparison with authentic ones owned by a friend. On further investigation I realized I had received a fake - the website mentioned on the back of the pack does not exist or belong to heavy sports. The seller name is mentioned as Heavy Sports but I don't think this is the real Heavy Sports.

good set
i got the 150, 200 and 250 based on one of the reviews saying they were light compared to the captain crush. i believe his specs to be pretty accurate, these are lighter than stated. but they are awesome grips for the money and i don't think i will be saying the 250 is too easy anytime soon. i couldn't imagine wanting the 300 or 350, but it is nice to know they do have such a nice spread of resistance. i remember some reviewers also saying they cut up and hurt your hands. this is unfortunately true. nice rubber grip handles probably would be better in some respects, but i would bet with this much force involved it would only be a matter of time before the grip would get all screwed up. so i think it is more durable the way it is, and that is a huge plus right there. i was considering getting some hockey tape made of rubber for the hockey sticks, but actually, i think the callouses might be a desirable effect. i don't think it would be such a bad idea to toughen up my hands a little bit. 200lbs is a lot of weight, the skin should be tough too. all and all, these are head and shoulders above the crappy ones you will see at a walmart or even some fitness stores. one place had a fairly nice variable one, but i cranked it all the way up and could still do it. im thinking my target goal should be something i can not do now. that is why this set is perfect, it has an easy, a hard and one i hope to do in a few months. i do not expect to be saying anything negative about these, but maybe i will update later as time goes on. be sure to do other stuff as well, i think it is harmful to focus on one muscle and not the complimentary one. for example do not work the biceps without the triceps. also, do not work a specific muscle too much without the small stabilizer muscles next too it. do youtube searches and make a wrist roller yourself and i am trying the force ball too as well as wrist curls and reverse wrist curls. basically, i think if you are playing with this much weight, you should be doing other things as well. this just focuses on the grip strength that i need to do my back properly. for anyone that is picky enough to care, the picture looks wrong. not that it is a big deal, but the numbers are not in black print on the bottom, they are on the inside and they are stamped in the metal. personally i think this is probably an upgrade because now the blank ink or paint or whatever will not come off. it is pretty hard to mess up a stamp in the metal.

Surprisingly Good Grippers - Better Than Expected
A little bit about myself so that you can gauge whether these grippers are right strength for you. I've been working out in the gym for many years, but I'm by no means strong in comparison to many people. I'm also not big at 6'-0", 165lbs. I've been doing some minor grip training once or twice a week using Ironmind Captain of Crush grippers (COC) for the past year. I can close the Ironmind COC #1.5 (167.5lbs) with both left and right hand. I'm within a few millimeters from closing the #2 gripper (195lbs) with my right, but far from closing it with my left (doing negatives). The only other grip training I have is working out with sandbag lifts and weighted rope pullups. Now to compare the strength difference between these Heavy Gripper (HG) and Captain of Crush (COC).The COC grippers are rated as follow:COC #0.5: 120lbsCOC #1: 140lbsCOC #1.5: 167.5lbsCOC #2: 195lbsCOC #2.5: 237.5lbsCOC #3: 280lbsAs mentioned previously, I'm within a few millimeters to closing the COC #2 grippers, which is rated for 195lbs. In comparison with HG, I was easily doing reps with the HG200 with both hands, which is rated for 200lbs. To me, the Heavy Gripper HG200 seems a bit easier than the COC #1, maybe just a tad heavier than COC #0.5.With the HG250, I was able to close for 1 rep with my right hand (about an inch from closing with my left). Certainly the HG250 is a little bit lighter than the COC #2, but a bit heavier than the COC #1.5. The HG250 is perfect for me to build my strength up to the COC #2.---Ignoring the "rating" and strength differences, overall, these are very good grippers for a much cheaper price than the Ironmind Captain of Crush. These are defintely a thousand times better than the typical big-box store's grippers and comes with a lifetime warranty. The handles' knurling is little less aggressive than the Ironmind, which is great. The handles are slightly closer together in comparison to the COC, which makes it easier to grip for those who have smaller hands. If you are not a grip fanatic and your goal is primarily just to develop stronger crushing grip strength, these grippers are the way to go. However, if you are striving to get your Ironmind COC certifications, you should just go with the Ironmind grippers to get used to the way they feel.
