Secret Princesses: Pop Princess
This is the fourth book in the series; Secret Princesses which is about two friends who discover that they are secret friendship princesses and that they can magically grant other's wishes to help their dreams come true. The books are written in a way where it doesn't completely matter if you haven't read the first three books as they explain about secret princesses and all about wish magic but obviously if you have read the first three books then you can follow some parts of the story faster.Charlotte and Mia are best friends who live on the opposite side of the world from each other (Charlotte now lives in the USA and Mia lives in the UK) but when their necklace glows they are whisked to Wishing Star Palace with the other secret princesses and their really good friend Alice. Charlotte and Mia are trainee secret princesses and have to earn four diamonds from helping four people with their wishes before they are awarded their Secret Princess Tiara's. When they are awarded their tiara's, they will have passed the first stage of their training to make them fully fledged secret princesses. So far they have earned three diamonds towards their tiara's.In this adventure the girls are taken to help Samira (Sam) who is competing in the same contest that launched their friend and fellow princess Alice into pop stardom. Sam is nervous as her family are stuck in traffic and may not make it to the TV studio to support her but that is not Sam's only problem as unbeknownst to her the evil Princess Poison and her sidekick Hex are also out to stop her winning the contest and fulfilling her dream. Charlotte and Mia are now onto Princess Poison and Hex's tricks but can the girls stop them from meddling with Sam's dream and help Sam to perform at the talent show?....This is another lovely book in the series and I do like the message of friendship throughout. I know this is a stereotypical book for girls with princesses and pop stars but my daughter also enjoys building Lego and playing with her big brothers cars and action figures and so I am not worried about reading these books with her and welcoming a bit of princess power.

Another Great Secret Princesses Book
Pop Princess:Book 4 is the third book in the 'Secret Princesses' series, a land where friends who are far apart can be magically taken to the Wishing Star Palace via their enchanted pendants. This extraordinary land is filled with other Secret Princesses, and Charlotte and Mia join the ranks, making friends along the way. No fairy tale land is complete without the addition of an enemy, and this is no exception to the rule with the entrance of Princess Poison. In this edition of Secret Princesses, the girls are setting out to help a girl called Sam. She is a competitor in a talent contest, and she is desperate to win, and have the chance to become famous. Her family might not make it to the TV studio in time, and Sam isn't just risking missing out on their support, she is also risking losing the contest as Princess Poison tries to ensure that nothing goes to plan. Charlotte and Mia need to try and help Sam's wish come true, but with Princess Poison trying to thwart their attempts at every step of the way they have their work cut out!The books combine both fantasy world, and real world scenes, and make for a heartwarming tale of friendship and love. My daughter has been reading these for several years now, and she devours them in one sitting as she finds them so gripping. I highly recommend them to children aged 6-10, approximately, who are confident readers and love a wholesome tale of good prevailing over evil.
