This helps to calm any kind of redness and irritation -- whether from breakouts, allergic reaction, dryness. I don't think of it as an acne treatment because it is very moisturizing and occlusive, but it helps with redness.

I have oily skin and prone to breakouts. Oil can help trick your skin into thinking it's produced enough oil. It's why a lot of people use face oils to moisturize skin. It might be the type of oil you're using. I tend to break out if I use coconut oil or olive oil.

Q: How long does one jar of the cream last?

It is very rich and a little goes a very long way. I'd say 6-8 months depending on how dry your skin is. Every day use will be closer to 6 months.
