Shure SM7B is the Number 1 Dynamic Microphone, nothing can beat it. it's clean signal, sound like Broadcast it also need a mic booster like cloudlifter or Fethead to give it clean 20 db signal so you won't have to crank the gain level to maximum and start to hear hiss sound.

If you're looking to improve your current budget XLR mic setups and saved up enough, this is one of the best upgrades that you can make to your setup. Keep in mind that this mic needs a lot of gain to function properly, but since I use it with my GoXLR it runs perfect without the need of a cloud lifter. As the name says, it's legendary. Worth the price premium!

I have been an amateur recording artist for some while. Always fiddling around trying new gear. I used a Rhode-NT1 before for vocals but the SM7 just blows it out of the water. The clarity with presence boost engaged helps vocals cut through mix without that brittle bite of a condenser. Much smoother and warmer and not so prone to picking up room noise. I do use a Klark Teknik line booster (Cloud lifter) in line before going to my sound card.

I was really excited to get the SM7B after hearing all the hype, and don’t get me wrong — it’s a solid mic. The sound is rich and clear, especially for vocals and podcasts. But honestly? Coming from the Rode PodMic, the difference wasn’t as big as I expected for the price jump. You need a good preamp to make it shine, which adds even more cost. It’s a great mic, but if you’re on a budget, the PodMic gives you almost the same quality for way less. I guess I was expecting a bit more for what I paid.

Straight out of the box this was already perfect! I would go as far as to say this is THE BEST MICROPHONE THAT YOU COULD EVER OWN! Literal perfection!

It captures my voice naturally while still giving that rich, warm tone that makes recordings sound professional right out of the box. What really stands out is how well it handles dynamics. Whether I’m speaking softly or projecting more, it stays balanced and controlled without distortion. It also does a great job rejecting background noise, which is perfect for streaming, podcasting, or recording in less-than-perfect rooms.

Ho comprato Shure SM7B per le mie esigenze di registrazione musicale e vocale e devo dire che sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso dalla qualità del prodotto. Il microfono ha una risposta in frequenza piatta e ampia, che rende il suono naturale e fedele alla sorgente. La capsula dinamica è molto robusta e resistente alle alte pressioni sonore, quindi non ho avuto problemi a registrare grancasse, chitarre e bassi. Il filtro antivento integrato elimina i rumori del respiro e le plosive, mentre la schermatura elettromagnetica protegge il segnale dai disturbi dei monitor e delle luci. Il microfono ha anche due controlli di equalizzazione passiva, che permettono di attenuare i bassi o enfatizzare le medie frequenze, a seconda delle necessità. Il diagramma polare cardioide è molto uniforme e reietta bene i suoni fuori asse, quindi posso cantare o parlare con l’angolazione che preferisco, senza perdere in qualità. Il design della staffa è migliorato rispetto ai modelli precedenti e offre una maggiore stabilità. Il microfono è fornito anche di un antivento supplementare per le riprese a distanza ravvicinata. Il connettore è un classico XLR a 3 pin, compatibile con la maggior parte dei preamplificatori e delle interfacce audio. Il colore è un elegante nero opaco, che si adatta bene a qualsiasi ambiente di registrazione. In conclusione, posso dire che il microfono Shure SM7B è un ottimo prodotto, adatto sia ai professionisti che agli appassionati di audio.
