Eye Opening! I owned this book in early 2000s, I love that it’s updated with new accounts and stories from the first martyrs up to cure day martyrs from all over the world. Inspiring and thought provoking to read the devotion of theses brave Christians. Must have for a Christian book collection. Easy to read and done without any gore.

Great Book!

Bought this for my 12 year old after a pastor said this book impacted his life when he was younger. My son has been reading it every night and likes it.

Bought this for my sister as a birthday gift. She was very excited to get it. That is all I can say since I didn't personally read it

A peek into the lives of God’s saints living in the most deplorable hopeless situations without complaining and still loving their enemies. Would we Christians living in our comfort zones do the same?

It is very encouraging to hear how others stand up for Christ in the midst of persecution. Such stories reminds us all to stand strong in our daily lives and not to compromise.

People across the world have suffered and have continued to stand up for the gospel in many countries. Perhaps some of our church leaders should also be reading this book instead of sitting in their cushy chairs in their offices and complaining how terrible our country is. Quit pointing fingers & get out and promote the gospel of Jesus before they are swept away in self pity and their denomination disappears as it is no longer relevant.

This is a very, very real account of real people who gave up their beliefs to follow Jesus at any price.It shows that Jesus is the only way to God, and that there is no other way.

It's one of Jesus' most powerful commandments; and one could say the best witness of Christian faith one could have.Some truly incredible testimonies are contained within these pages; memorable words from believers facing their own deaths; and awe-inspiring examples of God's love, Christian love towards each other, and most of all, the ability to love and forgive even those who hurt us worst of all.Very highly recommended.
