Amazballs
I read often and it has become rather difficult not to compare one book with another that has the same concept. I loved the first book, but this takes the icing on the cake. There is so much action that I did not want to put the book down. When you thought the book was finished.. surprise.. the story smacks you in the face leaving your jaw open. How can this be the ending!? I cannot wait till book 3. Even though I have a kindle membership I paid to pre-ordered this book so I would not forget the day it comes out. Like I said I read a lot and sometimes its hard to keep up with. If you enjoy paranormal academy books you will LOVE this series.

Exciting and action-packed
Nai hasn't had it easy since she began attending a school that only accepts shifter leaders, but when someone close to her is killed, she finds herself unable to go on without him, even with her fated mate and his brothers beside her. The adventures ahead of them are dangerous, frightening, eye-opening, and amazing in so many ways, but it may take more than she, or any of them, is willing to give to overcome the evil that continues to haunt Shifter Island.I am always excited by the tales this author has to tell because she is a wonderful storyteller. Her fantasies take me places I'm never sure I want to go but are so full of thrills, turmoil, heartbreak, and redemption that I don't even realize how quickly I'm reading until I get to the end. This is another one of those stories that take the reader to unimaginable places that can only come from her mind. Again, my heart is broken, and I look forward to seeing if or how she brings true joy back for the characters in the next installment.

Really good but...
I had to give four stars because really that ending????Ugh, it’s like the authors decided well let not wrap this up let’s go ahead and find some non existent plot twist to continue this series. Maybe if they had developed the mage thing more throughout the first two I would care but I think they wrapped up Nai’s life pretty good. I’m not interested in any of the Mages. I’m more interested in Rage and Nai having alone time to decompress from everything they have been through. I want to know what he was going through when they picked her up to take her to the academy and when or how he knew she was her at the first mascaras party etc. that sounds more exciting or why all the brothers decided to protect her. Maybe those things will be in the next book but it doesn’t feel like it. Okay so those are all assumptions and basically just to say I hated the ending. I also hated that Nai is doing this percentage calculation thing more in this book. When did this start happening and jeeze why does she do it every other line. It was weird. But other than those things I really liked these first two books.

AMAZING!
WOW!!! Another amazing book in the Shifter Island Series by Raye Wagner and Leia Stone. “Midnight Lies” is a page turner that will keep you biting your nails. So much action, surprises, and emotion as Nai and Rage has a short amount of time to bring back honor from the realm of the dead. Of course, nothing goes smoothly for them. Raye and Leia wrote an amazing story with this book. Strong characters and plots that will have you wanting more. And WHAT an ending!!! Bring on book three!!

Worth the read!!
Midnight Lies is the second book in the Shifter Island series by Leia Stone and Raye Wagner. With the ending of book one, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second one. Boy did it not disappoint. From the first chapter it was packed with action and twists and turns that you wouldn't expect. I was happy to see friendships growing more, the mate bond being more solid and growing, and new allies forming. I'm glad I was able to get a few things answered. Now there will be more challenges and growth in the next installment. Hopefully we will learn more of Nai abilities and what she can do.This was a quick read but so worth it. If you haven't started the series yet, go do it!! So worth it.I received an ARC for an honest review.

So amazingly good!
Midnight Lies is worth every second you spend reading it! It is action packed and boy will it knock your socks off!Nai and rage cannot catch and break and have even 5 minutes of happiness. They are just trying to get their friend back but are being tested at every turn. When you think this book is going to give them a HEA with a cute little bow...- BOOM It throws a curveball in your face.I am so excited for book 3 and to see how the story does wrap up for them! This has been such a good read so far and I know it will only get better with the final book!

The third book comes out when??
This was a fast paced, fun yet incredibly frustrating book. Frustrating because everything happened at the very last minute. People's lives are on the line, but let's stop to chat and have a nice slow meal. Then OMG we only have 1 minute to save the world! LOL. It was also frustrating because this is not an audiobook yet, so I didn't sleep between shifts because I couldn't put this down.Action, mates, a long adventure away from school, battles to the death, and of course lots of magic. Then there's the ending! And the knowledge that the third book won't be out for months! Groan!

Holy Mother Mage
THAT was something else. I could not put this down it was action packed from the first page to the last. Like nonstop, these poor kids couldn’t catch a break type action pack.Granted there was a few things that just felt off and I couldn’t quite wrap my head around and instead of me falling back on the whole Leia Stone story burnout thing that seems to happen just as story lines wane and everything seems so RUSHED, that ending was all but worth it. Opened up a whole new world and realm of possibilities and I can not wait for book 3.

Midnight Lies
A great second book in this series which is jam packed full of action throughout. Whilst reading this I honestly thought the story for Nai & Rage was going to be wrapped up as that's how it felt the story was going. But then suddenly, BAM! Nope it seems the authors decided to throw another spanner in the works and just when you thought you'd get your HEA!I will definitely be reading the third book in this series when it releases to see what happens next as I suspect there might be a change in direction and we'll be meeting some new characters (likely both good & bad). A five star read for me and if you enjoyed the first book then you'll also enjoy Midnight Lies.

Boring, disjointed, and disappointing
I don't understand the other reviews, unless the non-stop action managed to distract from the boring, stupid, inconstant characters and random happenings. I liked book 1 and normally like everything Leia Stone writes. I understand she probably had little to do with this - that's how these pair-ups usually go. But I expected her to both make a better choice of writing partner and care more about what's printed in her name. This book was just bad. Lazy, stereotypical, and made me dislike characters I enjoyed in book 1. I could barely get through it - though the end was interesting, it's the only reason for the second star.

Need book 3
Can't wait for book 3, hopefully it will come out a bit quicker than planned. I'm expecting it to start with an raging Rage but I'm sure it will all work out and whatever is going on with high mages will be uncovered.
