HJC HJ-17 Shield, Dark Smoke by HJC Helmets

Exact same product from HD Stores at nearly half the cost because you’re not buying a bag with the bar and shield on it. I love my Harley and I love our local store but when I got an itch to try and find a shield on amazon for my helmet and saw the name brand shield for my helmet at nearly half the price I couldn’t help but feel disappointed. Awesome! Just the right amount of tint. Not sure if I'd want to use at night but I hardly ever ride at night anyway. Came in perfect condition. Easy to install and does come pinlock ready.

Easy to install. Seals well after a day of riding, but takes a little while to get the exact shape of your particular helmet shape and seals.Probably due to packing and weather difference. Blocks just enough sunshine, yet I can see at night through it as well. With good headlights of course.You won't be disappointed in this purchase.

I try to leave reviews on everything I purchase off Amazon, because I read through them when I'm making a purchase. This Shield fits perfect and was simple to put on and take off. It's dark enough to keep the sun out, but light enough to ride at night (for me anyway). I use it with the helmet's sunshield (HJC IS-MAX2) during the day.

When you buy a helmet, you're stuck with whatever sheilds the manufacturer makes available, but I don't miss the three snap bubble shields. I have one of the mirror like color shields and a clear one that fit this helmet, both have strong reflections when the sun in is front, this shield corrects that. It's also actually dark, I won't be wearing it at night. You can see very clearly, without any distortion and don't need sunglasses behind it.The other shields I own have scratched and scuffed easily so you need to take extra care to keep your helmet (shield attached) from rolling on pavement.
