I bought a few desktop toys. This spinning cylinder is larger, heavier, higher quality that the less expensive ones. It has a good feel and spins a little easier than the others. I think it was worth the extra money. Nice to have something on the desk to occasionally fidget with. It is quiet and unobtrusive.

It is what it is. Not as entertaining as a fidget spinner, because those you can hold and feel their movement. This, you spin it, and then... Well, that's it. I guess you could watch it for a little bit. Like if you're on the phone or something. But if you're browsing reddit or whatever and you keep your left hand on this thing, touching it stops the spin. So you can spin it and then just - well, just wait I guess. For it to stop. Which you won't know unless you touch it. Or look at it. It's really kind of pointless and I'm sad in my heart that I bought it. Oh well. Other people think it looks cool sitting there. Maybe I will give it away so someone else can hate themselves for a while. Or maybe they'll hate me.
