This book contains plenty of information, but I was looking for a little more basic approach to using oils and more recipes for diffusing them in a water diffuser. There are diffuser recipes for jewelry and inhalers. I was overwhelmed with the information for just getting started. It would cost a fortune to purchase all the items to make the recipes. She advises certain essential and carrier oils can be substituted if, not on hand and you don't need everything to start out. I am the person who wants to follow the recipe and seems too complicated to figure out what can be substituted for what. This book would be great for someone who wants detailed information about each oil and a ton of recipes for topical application for health ailments and household cleaning. Again, not what I was looking for, so I am returning.

I own a number of aromatherapy books but I keep coming back to this one for simple and effective blends for a variety of applications in the home and for personal care. I wish more aromatherapy books were written in such a straightforward manner without the hocus pocus you get from some other authors. It contains solid information and discusses supply sources for EOs as well as accessories. Definitely a must-have for anyone starting out but it also serves as a reminder that simple is often better.

The beginning of the book is a great introduction to oils and it guided to make a great first choice for affordable but quality oils (simply earth- use code "oilsintheparkfree").The middle of the book is chalked full of information about oils which is great for reference and for making your own recipes and blends. But the book also features a lot of great tried and true recipes that I'll be using :)I'm keeping this book saved to give as a gift in the future.

Wow, this book is just what I needed an have been looking for. It’s so well written, great format & layout. It has an extremely large selection & multitude of easy recipes w/ driscripton that include cleaning, health & beauty plant care etc.... Honestly, I’ve bearly touch the surface of what this book offers. I’m just so excited to have it.
