Does have a weird scent but I don't mind it, scents aren't really a problem for me.This sunscreen is VERY good for people with oily skin. It leaves my skin glowing but not greasy and after a few hours it dries completely matte on my forehead.It's been great for my acne. After using this for just a week nearly all my acne is gone because it doesn't clog my pores.I loveeee it's consistency. It doesn't feel like a thick cream kinda spf. It's more of a watery gel consistency.My only problem with this spf is that it makes my skin feel kinda tight after it dries down. Maybe this is because of the alcohol. It's a shame because this would've been PERFECT if it didn't dehydrate my skin. Hopefully it'll work better during summer.

I was a bit dubious as I opened the pot and saw that the product was very opaque. I was worried that it might sit heavily on my face like a cream- and my skin does NOT agree with even the lightest creams. I can only use gel texture moisturisers.However, I’m pleasantly surprised! I expect it is the SPF aspect that makes the product opaque - it looks just like a sunscreen. In any case, it absorbed wonderfully, didn’t leave a tacky or heavy residue, and I’m even able to use it around my eyelids without that dreaded SPF-sting! I have a lot of freckles around my eyes, so it’s been difficult to find a product with SPF that doesn’t get into your eyes and sting/irritate them.It has a very subtle smell - again, I’m thinking this is because of the SPF. But it’s not a bad smell, and once you’ve applied it, it goes away very quickly. I’m very particular about smells and the like, so unless you have a VERY strong sense of smell, it’s barely noticeable at all.So far, it’s not aggravated my acne, or rosacea. If anything my face feels calmer! A must-have for me right now in summer! ^^;I pair it with the whitening lotion, and my skin feels sublime. I only hope my old acne scare also start to fade xDWill buy again!

Up until now I would only use sunscreen when it was sunny, but considering there's so much advice out their telling people to wear it every day I was looking for something light.This product is unlike other sunscreen I've purchased before. Maybe it's because I've only ever bought Western products, but I'm used to a specific smell, a thick cream, white smears, stinging eyes, and all that Jazz. This stuff had a light and fluffy texture, even lighter than you would expect from a moisturiser.Smell : The product does have a strange smell to it. Though I wouldn't describe it as unbearable, it is quite distinct. It's much better than the normal sunscreen smell. Somewhere between marshmallow and coconut with something chemical about it.Texture : The texture is difficult to describe. It is just incredibly light.After application : The product seems to rub into the skin easily; unlike other products I have used that just sit on your skin. This does leave a white cast the moment you put it on, but it disappears within seconds. It leaves the skin quite matte, which I really like. Being a guy I don't have much experience with makeup, but I can imagine that makeup could be easily applied on top of this product.I can't vouch for the sun protection of this product since it is winter, and I've only just tried it on. Because it is so light I am quite sceptical, but other reviews seem to praise it. Since I was only looking for something to throw in on the morning, I wouldn't mind if it doesn't quite live up to the SPF50 that it claims; but if it does then this product is amazing!

I've now used this spf consistently for more than half a year and can say I want to use it forever!! With my very light, oily, blemish prone skin I had spent a small fortune trying different SPF cremes and they were either making my skin greasy, dry, the wrong color, or were pilling and making my eyes sting.The Rohto Hada Labo Koi Gokujyun is perfect for me. It is very hydrating without leaving my skin looking greasy, I put a very generous amount on my face each morning and sometimes add another layer during the day (at least half a teaspoon per application) and this does not pill whatsoever. There is no white cast, and the smell is very faint and unnoticeable once my skin dries. I am yet to test it on a very sunny day, and will probably reapply every 2 hours then. Love it! Only downside is the price and delivery time, as I am using it very generously, I reorder every 2-3 months and sometimes it can take several weeks to arrive, so I buy way in advance.
