Top heavy because of battery location, too easy to knock over, roll onto floor and break
Works well otherwise, but like other mills of this type, the batteries in the top half of it make it definitely top heavy, unbalanced. Doesn't take much to knock it over and have it roll onto floor multiple times and eventually break. Wound up duct taping it together, then having to peel tape off to refill it.Replaced it with a name brand manually operated grinder that is much shorter and bottom heavy. Ceramic grinder with a thick plastic body. When not in use, the pepper reservoir and filling cap are on the bottom, ceramic grinder is on top. Doesn't look like much as compared to giant wooden grinders theatrically brandished by waiters in some restaurants at one time, but it works. And is much less likely to roll off the kitchen counter or a table than are the top heavy battery operated versions.

Slow grind, cheap construction... Looks cool?
I bought this to replace a Bodum electric pepper mill that lasted about 15 years. This grinder is certainly not on the same level. It looks cool... Which is nice. But the structural integrity and the grinding mechanism all reveal its cheap construction. It grinds slow... Maybe half the speed of my old bodum. It's fine for a small sandwich, but seasoning a steak, or adding pepper to a sauce or stir fry starts feeling silly. And when you're grinding, you can feel the whole grinder kind of buckling in your hand. There's just clearly give in between the components the grinder is creating forces against. If this lasts a third as long as my bodum grinder, I'll be surprised. And if I last that long before replacing it, I'll be even more surprised.

Numerous Issues
They take 4 AA batteries each = heavy. Noisy when grinding and one doesn’t produce ground spice on any setting. In order to return, I had to take these defective products to a Purolator shipping facility which is a 25 minute drive from home, even though there are stores within 5 minutes of our home, but they can’t process a QR code. So nearly an hour in the car. I am not happy. This QR code should have been disclosed to me before I purchased.

Electric Salt or Pepper Grinder - Battery Operated Ceramic Burr Peppermill Shaker
Saw these at a friends place, and knew right away I had to get these. Battery operated, easy to replace, and the salt and pepper container hold a decent amount. These might be on the smallish side for some people, but the beauty is, there is a small light that lights where the salt or pepper is being put, and the light also highlights the amount of salt / pepper being dispensed.Highly recommended for the techie in your home!

Very nice product so far
I ordered this product to replace the manual ones I had from another brand. So far, this is working very well as well as being very nice looking. I can't speak for durability as I only had them for a week but if something happen, I'll update this review. If I may mention 1 bad point I'd say that the containers are quite small therefore frequent refills will be required but definitely not a deal breaker.
