A wonderful sequel to his previous book
This time Peter Wohlleben gives a superb and very credible account of the relationship of us humans with trees. His style is so soothing and contemplative. I can recommend this book to anyone who loves trees - it will open your eyes!

Ignores research he should have known about
Did the author not read anything of Suzanne Simard's groundbreaking research into the inter-communication between trees provided by networked fungi? Not one mention, nothing in the index. Even in a book not specifically about trees: Underground, by Robert MacFarlane, there are several pages referring to her work with tree communication.

His other books are better.
An average work from the author. This books reads more like a forced writing rather than the originality of thoughts and smooth flow from his earlier books.
