It was ideal for me because they are primarily clear, so they mostly blend into your hair. If you happen to be somebody who has multiple lowlights and highlights as well as greys in your hair— these blend in. If you are somebody who has a strict dress code at work—- these can blend in to be unseen. It also helps that they are plastic and not metal—- they don’t get bent the way metal hairpins will but can break if too much stress is put on them— as can the metal ones. Particularly if you have to have your hair up and work in an area where there may be excess static shock risk, fire hazards, electrical fields, high strength magnetic fields—- clear plastic works really well. And these don’t get excessively soft when you’re in temperatures of excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.— Say, working outside in a Texas summer. And they don’t hold on to heat and make a hot spot like the metal hairpins.

I have been very impressed with these. I have very fine, thin long hair and these really hold well. I have tried other types and these have worked the best.
