Hamilton Beach1.6L Electric Tea Kettle, Hot Water Boiler & Heater with Cool-Touch Double Wall Exterior, 1500W, Cordless, Auto-Shutoff and Boil-Dry Protection, Black (41032)

Back in 2016 we purchased the solid stainless steel Ham Beach cool touch kettle. It worked great for a lot of years, up until 2022. That was with daily use, often several times a day. It did its time.I had hoped to replace it with the same model, but it was discontinued. I wanted another stainless steel model, so we tried a couple of others and they didn't have the look or capacity that we liked.This one has basically the same shape as our old one, and although it has a plastic exterior, the interior is stainless steel. The black is sleek and unobtrusive. It heats as quickly as our old one, is cool to the touch, and it's easy to fill. Also, to our surprise it pours well! No water dribbling down the side of the kettle! With previous kettles we've always had to pop the lid open to pour.We bought this one in Dec. 2022, and it's been great. I'd recommend it for sure.

We were finally able to send our old water boiler to the metal recyclers. We used to get scalded all the time. This electric replacement makes my wife happy.So there you go...

The performance and the efficiency of this particular electric water kettle was amazing. The water boiled fast, and the amount of how much it can hold while boiling the water doesn’t disappoint. However, an essential flaw of this product that I’ve experienced is the quick rusting to the metal of this product. I’ve only used the product less than 2 weeks for this incident to happen.

The on/off is an actual physical switch which is wonderful if you're using an outlet that has a timer. I fill it and set it to "on" the night before, and the outlet automatically turns on and heats the water at 5am. The insulation keeps it hot for hours, so if I'm ready to pour into my French press at 6 am it's still plenty hot. No bells and whistles, which is part of why I like this model so much.

My #1 priority in an electric kettle is to be 100% non-toxic interior, which means either fully food-grade stainless steel or glass. I do NOT want plastic or aluminum touching water, let alone boiling water. When my old Hamilton Beach electric kettle died after many years of use, I did a comprehensive search as the old model was no longer made. I reluctantly settled on this one even though it has a plastic spout strainer in the interior, hoping I could remove it. Well, it snaps out very easily. Once I did that I was able to also enjoy the fact that the plastic clad exterior actually makes the kettle easier & safer to handle than my previous one. It also has the safety feature of automatically turning off after the water boils briefly. I only use my kettle to boil water; it now has NO plastic touching the water. It will also come to a boil with the lid open or closed. If I used loose leaf tea or anything other than straight water, I might have to remove the lid because it does not open very wide -- as some reviews have noted. But for my purposes -- boiling water with NO plastic or other toxic elements infusing the water -- this is 5-STARS all the way.

La compré para reemplazar la anterior cafetera de mis papás ya que ellos solo la usaban para calentar agua, me preocupaba un poco que fueran a tener un accidente, por eso escogí este modelo, ahorita ya llevan dos meses con ella y funciona de maravilla, además que no se sobrecalienta ni derrama agua, realmente una excelente compra 👏Actualización en diciembre: Sigue funcionando de maravilla y mis papás la utilizan mínimo tres veces al día

A pesar de ser grande, calienta el agua muy rápido y mantiene el calor por mucho tiempo.

Lo recomiendo ampliamente, hierve el agua en pocos minutos. Un producto muy práctico.

Me llegó antes de lo esperado, y todo genial calienta bien, no se tarda mucho hace ruido si pero la verdad lo que buscaba es que calentará rápido, gran capacidad y la doble capa que tiene para no quemarme. Apenas llevo un mes con ella. Pero hasta el momento estoy satisfecha.
