CNS Timing Belt Kit, Water Pump, & Valve Cover Gasket Set Compatible/Replacement for F22B1 F23A VTEC

Good kit BUT doesn’t come with the springs. I guess you really don’t need them since it’s best to set the tension yourself. From my research (YouTube) the springs aren’t strong enough to give you the proper tension anyway.

We recently did an engine swap on my mom's beloved 1998 Honda Odyssey. After 240,000 miles it finally gave up with a cracked head. For a couple hundred dollars we got a compatible engine from the junkyard and did some major maintenance to it before installing it in the car. I ordered a bunch of parts from Amazon for the rebuild and this was part of the list. Everything shipped quickly and it was the right part the first time.

Great kit! All parts fit properly. The crankshaft oil seal is a bit on the loose side compared to the OEM seal. Because of the importance of the crankshaft oil seal I opted to remove the one I installed from this kit, and purchased one from Napa Auto Parts which had a copper frame around the seal, which provided a better fit. The crankshaft seal in this kit did not have the large copper frame. Timing belt fit and worked well. The balance shaft worked well. I did not use the water pump from this kit. Overall, very please with the price and number of parts in this kit.

Everything fit properly and looked and felt like very good quality. Honestly I was surprised for the price, I expected worse. The only hiccup I had was there were a few bends in the valve cover gasket from shipping that made it not want to lay flat in the right places at first, but it was very very cold and they flattened right out once warmed up to a more humane level. Remember to use a bit of oil or grease when putting the seals in to prevent tearing anything. So far so good with the pump, no squealing or leaks.Overall really good value kit.

Good kit comes with everything you need to do the job

Very nice kit for the money. Has GMB water pump which is a fair component. All other components were nice quality and fitment was excellent. Also came with all frt seals to engine which was nice.

Purchased a vehicle with F23A1 engine a few years ago & got this stuff installed by a mechanic... 18 months later, we did a motor swap (unrelated to this kit) & ordered this kit again just so everything was 100% new.
