Q: Can this be used on outdoor wood deck steps that have been sealed but not painted?

I presume that you could. I have used it on inside steps that have been sealed, but not painted. The tape is very sticky and it seems like once you adhere it to any kind of wood, it sticks. I have also added it to outdoor painted wood and it sticks, and stays, even in my cold upstate NY snow.

I don't know about a metal ladder but I used this product on my wooden steps and it didn't last two weeks before it started to peal off.

Q: Can this be use under my foot exercising machine to stop it from sliding when I peddle?

I'm sure it would work,the sticky side is pretty sticky,i used it on the top of my wooden steps so people wouldn't slip, works like a charm.
