Great for senior cats
I bought these pet bowls for my senior cat. She is 13 years old and has always eaten by shoveling her food into her mouth, and then she'll vomit, and the food is chunky and not chewed all the way. These raised and tilted bowls mount into a bamboo tray. It matches other bamboo accents in my kitchen. The bowls are ceramic and easy to clean. They're dishwasher and microwave safe. You can refrigerate or freeze. My cat still bends down a little to eat, but she appears to be more comfortable than when she had to bend down all the way to the floor. I can feed her in the kitchen instead of in her bed in the living room, so it's easier to keep her food area clean. She doesn't vomit nearly as often anymore, and it's more difficult for her to shovel eat with the depth of the bowls. I use one for dry food and the other for wet food and have a separate water fountain. The base rocks only a tiny little bit. Not enough to affect the way my cat eats. I'm sure I could fix it by bending the metal parts slightly.Along with a ramp, I bought these pet bowls and a water fountain to make my baby's senior years healthier and more comfortable.

Perfect for small dogs too
This was the perfect size for my Frenchie. I wanted a bowl that was east for his short face to get into so he can eat more comfortably. My puppy loves it and it’s a simple sturdy design that doesn’t take up too much space. Also less of a mess compared to the old bowl he use to eat out of.

WOW!
Since I just received this yesterday I thought it might be too soon to write a review. But when I checked the bowls this morning I was amazed at how much food was gone. I didn't make any changes to the food, so I can only surmise that my poor baby hadn't been eating as much as he liked due to discomfort. I'm so glad I decided to try these! Mr. Meowgi didn't have any symptoms or show any signs of any problems, I bought them just because I read it was better for him. Glad I did.

updating to 5 stars
This was delivered to me 6 weeks ago and i finally opened it yesterday. I should not have waited. This elevated dish is a good buy. It is well made and sturdy. I am very pleased with the purchase. I have 4 cats. They have all tried it and for at least 2 it seems to already be the favorite eating spot. (As opposed to the normal flat on the floor dishes) Metal brackets that hold the feeding plate are pretty strong and keep the dish steady while the cat is eating. I have mine on a small slip proof rug. I have not tried it on the bare floor. One of my cats head butts water dishes and spills it all the time. I have not seen him head butt this dish and the rug and floor are dry. The wood is handsome. I think is has a light coat of poly (or similar) that will help keep the finish handsome. I think it will still need a daily wiping to prevent water and food stains on the wood. It comes with two nice ceramic bowls. I left one for the water but am using a homer laughlin berry bowl for the dry food since that is what they normally eat out of. It is a perfect fit and it is too cute. My only criticism is that two cats cant use this at the same time. I would be interested in one that might hold 2 (or 4!) cats at the same time. My cats are free access dry food so that is ok. but we feed wet food 2-3 times a day and they like room to move. I bought this because i have two cats that are pukers and read somewhere that using an elevated dish helps digestion. That would be great UPDATE: 10/30/21 I now own two of these elevated bowls and am very pleased. One is on a rug and the second is on another floor of the house on a stone floor. There have been no spills and one older cat in particular seems to prefer this as opposed to one flat one the floor. There has been no head butting. One cat does like to put his paw in the water dish and pull it towards him. I dont know why. But even as he drags it (approx) 6 inches the water does not slosh out of the bowl even when it is full. Its very sturdy. Unfortunately i have not noticed a change in my cats digestion. They puke just as often as before

I like it
I really like the look of this cat bowl and they try does catch a majority of the food. It was purchased for one of my 3 cats who gorges himself and ends up throwing up everyday immediately after he eats in the morning. The first thing I noticed is that they are required to chance their stance a little bit to eat out of this bowl which looked a little awkward for them in the beginning but it doesn’t seem like they mind at all. So far my little guy has only thrown up 3 times in about a 2 week period so their is an improvement. I might end up putting a golf ball or something in the bowl so he’ll be forced to eat a little slower. The only thing that is slightly annoying is that since the bowls are white it’s more noticeable if the cats eat a small area and see the bottom of the bowl which causes them to think it’s close to empty when it’s not and they start begging for more food. I’m sure that’s just a personal thing but I didn’t realize the color would make a difference. Otherwise I would recommend this bowl because it is rather appealing and seems to be a hit with my fur babies.

Not for my cats
My 13 year old cat had a problem of eating wet food from a floor level because she is one of those cats whose food will come back up when it doesn't get far enough down her esophagus. I decided to purchase a raised pet dish holder and chose this one. Firstly, I should have chosen a solid food stand, because the metal legs on this tend to fall off if you don't pick it up correctly. Secondly, the bowls that came with the stand are way too deep for a cat to eat out of and would probably better for a small dog (maybe). I was lucky that I already had 2 bowls that sort of fit in the pre-made holes. My cat would take the food out of the bowl and then put it on the floor to eat it--not good! This just didn't work for my cat and me. I've had it for 2 months now so I can't return it, but I will donate it to our local pet shelter.

Very nice bowls
I really like these bowls. First of all, they are ceramic, so they are safe for my cat. They are good size and the stand is great. My cat looks much more comfortable eating from these bowls than the ones standing on the floor. They look great, too.

Great purchase
My cat is happy and had zero adjustment time. Probably because he’s a bit of a piggy. My only negative would be the tilt. You can’t put as much water in as you world normally. Not an issue, just an FYI.
