I returned the red because it was too bright to match our red Kitchenaid appliances and rugs we have. We needed more of a chili color (one expensive name brand has chili and we had and regretted, too thick, too linty, pulls, not worth the price!).We decided since there are so many shades of red that black would go great, and it does, so we switched.I did not notice one issue with any of the towels!! At the same time, I ordered bar mop towels (smaller) and 6 of the 12 had issues, so back that went, so I am always appreciative when I get something that is "correct." I can understand the good reviews (the other product has good reviews too?? Maybe I got a back batch?). Thank you for being respectful of my time and having towels that are made correctly!I washed them, they were fine. We used a small amount of fabric softener (1/2 what I would normally use) and to us, they are absorbent. I only washed them once (all of them together) and yes, there was expected lint, but we didn't have any residual lint on our dishes after using them.I shared a couple with my son in college, he was happy. Appreciate the size of the package and wow, the price is right!Highly recommend. I'll update if they aren't super durable in the end. And I didn't review on that at this time because how would I know after just starting to use them!

I have a couple of kitchen towels that are called waffle weave; they have an open weave that soaks up water yet they don't feel wet and dry almost unbelievably fast. So I searched on here for "waffle weave towels" and these came up. I either didn't read the reviews well or I just overlooked it somehow for when these arrived it was immediately obvious that the open weave was missing. One use of them and I knew I had not gotten what I thought I had ordered.But . . . even though they were not the specific ones I wanted for the kitchen I discovered they were excellent hand towels for the bathroom. I am unusually careful about washing my hands (and arms) after using the bathroom and I keep a pile of perhaps a dozen or fifteen small towels for that specific use. I use them once or twice and toss them in the washer. It prevents use of paper towels making it to the landfill and it also prevents the use of bath towels reserved for my body after showers. Plus, it takes a pile of them to fill up a large laundry tub so I can wash a lot of them easily.They are solid cotton so they do dry relatively quickly. They can also soak up water drops (and small puddles) of water on the counter. Personally, I use a clean one to dry my face after washing, then my hands, then the counter. It's the best way I've found to balance ecological sensitivity with my need to be sanitary. Because of the. heft of these (without the actual weight) I expect them to last for a very long time. And because they are so good I expect they will find life after their current life as floor cleaners and automobile towels. Yup, they'll fulfill a lot of different roles. Highly recommened.

I bought these to embroider and embellish for gifts. The waffle weave gives me straight lines for guides, and they are large, thick, and absorbent. I can't wait to get them done and give them as gifts, and maybe keep a couple for myself!
