I am *so* happy with these socks! After ruminating about whether I wanted to spend the extra bucks for them I decided to take a chance and am really pleased that I did. These tick off all the boxes for me and I immediately reordered 3 more colors. They are soft, with a broad soft top collar that is non-constricting and they stay up like a dream, (or down, if that's your preference). They go all the way up to my knees and keep my lower legs nice and warm and have a slightly cushioned footbed and ankle support to keep them from sliding down into your shoes. They are cotton- which was one of my top priorities. They stay up without being too tight which seems like a near miracle to me-- I have curvaceous calves, and before these, I have had a very tough time finding socks that fit over them without being too tight. I have resorted to ankle socks which do not keep my legs warm enough in winter. The colors are nice too. And they are American-made! So far I bought the purple, red and tan. The only slight caveat is the inside shows the elastic weave and a piece came undone in one sock after a couple wearings so I'm hoping that is not going to prove to be a bigger downside. But as of now I've been wearing these non-stop for 2-3 weeks and am happy as can be.Update: It's been about 5 months or so. Still happy with these but discovered they aren't perfect; they shed/pill. Evidently there is some extra fluff in the yarn that fairly readily becomes loosened and wads up. Not quite pilling, but similar. Not a huge thing, I realize this is possibly hard to avoid- most fluffy materials by their nature are probably somewhat susceptible to this. The other thing is the exposed elastic on the inside is not great. It's not enough to put me off but I would love it if the elastic was not as exposed. I'm not actually sure how that would/could be accomplished. A couple pairs (for some reason) are tight around the ankles still. Not sure why some are and others are not. They are marginal but after wearing them a while I forget and or they must loosen up. None of these things are enough to put me off- I'm still quite happy with these and am thinking of buying some of the light weight ones for summer.

I like that the foot part is NOT super thick but not super thin. It’s perfect so one still fits into shoes. Socks can also be worn up leg not bunched up which is nice. There is air holes to avoid legs getting over heated depending on your size of calf. Good all around sock.

They are soft and gorgeous, and I'd love to wear them. However, they don't fit my ladies size 11m feet. The heel is not far enough back, and they make me feel claustrophobia when I squeeze my big ol lady stompers in there. I recommend these if your feet are smaller than size 10. I'm sure they're super warm, because I got all hot and sweaty when I had that panic attack from squeezing my heel into that gorgeous red sock. Even had the sock been thinner, I'd have failed in my task; they're just too small. I wish they had stretched more.

I love everything about the 6pr I ordered, except one pair have a slipped stitch hole on the sides of their heel stitches. I have already worn them so I don’t think replacement ones are an option, but I’m pretty sure the machine just skipped a stitch. It happens. Perfect except for that one flaw

Had high hopes. I had slouch socks back in the 80s/90s that were so comfy. These aren’t even close. To tight around the ankle/calf and the material is rough. Plus there’s too much slouch material. Just not what I hoped for.
