Can you use this high of a concentration with sunscreen?

I spray this on my legs and arms on top of my sunscreen and it has been effective so far. From www.deetonline.org"The effectiveness of both insect repellents and sunscreens are dramatically reduced when users apply them at the same time. Decide which is your top priority at the moment-protection from insects or from the sun-then apply either a repellent or sunscreen, plus use other measures to reduce insect and sun exposure. Some manufacturers produce a specially formulated product that combines both DEET-based insect repellent and sunscreen. These should be used with the frequency of repellents, where you re-apply only as needed to exposed skin areas.

how long does a 1 oz. bottle last??

Carol,This product is very strong so I use as little as possible and it still works great! As far as how long it will last, depends whether you're backpacking and out in the elements all day or if you have a camper and only use it when you go out.

Do you apply this to the skin or will it work if you spray the edges of your clothes?

I spray my hat, shirt and legs. Seems to work really well with no skin reaction. Try a small area on your leg to be sure that you are not allergic to DEET. Bob P.

Can the top screw off so it can be refilled?

For the 1oz bottle I just received, the top is clamped on, not screwed on - you can probably take it off by force but I doubt you can put it back on.
