LaMonica Lobster Bisque, 51 Oz. (2 Pack)

We love it

If we didn't know what it said on the can, we probably wouldn't know that it is lobster bisque because it seriously lacks that flavor. Also, do not be misled by the photos showing big chunks of lobster meat in it. There were none, big or small. We steamed and chopped a small lobster tail and added it, which seemed to be the only thing that gave it any real lobster flavor. The remainder of it will be eaten, but after some doctoring with the addition of some lobster soup base, maybe a hint of brandy and maybe a little roux to thicken it a bit. I doubt we will buy it again.

I did not expect it to taste like restaurant quality bisque. But I’ve had some that tasted at least like they had in some seafood. This tasted very odd to the point where I could not finish my serving. I’m already trying to figure out what I will do with the second can. Actually, I don’t know what I will do with the rest of this first can. Maybe I can turn it into some cream of broccoli soup?. It was really terrible. What a disappointment.
