Perfect compliment to a single EV 18" sub for small to medium-small venues
I have 2 and they haven't flinched so far. I have been a believer in EV since my days working at Guitar Center in San Leandro 20 years ago where I had the ability to compare all the major consumer grade PA speaker lines. Mackie and QSC weren't really marketing speakers back then. I'm using them with an EV 18" powered sub, crossing over at 150hz and powering with a single Crest CA4. I'm using for live sound and recorded music in outdoor and indoor events with about 100-150 people up to about 150ft away. In this application they are perfectly suited and free of distortion or frequency imbalance.

Was Disappointed To Find Out....
This model is constructed of woofers that have cast steel baskets. 😞 Huge disappointment for the price. I picked up JBL SRX815s direct from JBL for about $300 more per speaker, with pro audio class woofers and 3" Titanium horn drivers.
