Gold and Black Silk Tie and Pocket Square Paul Malone Red Line

It's alright. When I first saw the picture I thought it was the best tie I'd ever seen and I had to have it. When I bought the tie it was $39.97 - I purchased the 58' Regular Tie by the way. It's pretty close to the pictures with it being worn in the suit, but not at all like the ones of it solo. It's definitely not a bright yellow. It's a more aged gold color, like the suit pictures. There's not as much of a color difference between the floral and the stripe as in the photos here though. I've uploaded some photos of the tie comparing it to a manila envelope, a gold watch, and some heavy cream so you can really judge the color for yourself and hopefully end the color debate on this tie.The bottom line of it is that it's a good looking tie but not as earth shattering as it might seem at first, especially for the price. I'd be tickled if it had been cheaper but I don't know that it's really $40 worth of amazing. You can buy a tie+hanky+cufflink set on eBay from China for $6.41 with free shipping (at the time of writing this). There are some really damn good looking ties too. So we're basically talking about 1 tie set being worth 6 other tie sets that you could have bought. For a $40 tie set it's alright, I like it. I don't love it, but that's moreso because of how much I paid for it. If it had been a $6, $10, or even $20 tie set I'd probably be considerably more thrilled with it.

I got this set for my son as a surprise for his Homecoming Prom. I thought he might think it was too old fashioned for him but he actually really liked it. His date complimented it as did the friends in the group he was with. It's a classy style. The color in the title is misleading. The "gold" in this tie is more orange so don't purchase if you want a a standard gold color. Very nice quality, excellent price. The pocket square gave it a debonair look. On prom night, he looked handsome in his suit with this tie set. For the right event, this is a great tie/pocket square. Probably not for casual office/day wear or for someone wanting a more modern style.

I just got this today and I must say im blown away by the quality and beauty of this tie. After reading some reviews about the color being off a little, I was afraid I had made a mistake. After opening the package all my fears where laid to rest. This is easily one of the best ties i own now..I would definitely recommend this product. I will be making more purchases of this brand.

Tie is actually an orangey-copper tone. Much darker than the pictures. I wouldn't consider it gold. Was hoping it was somewhere at least between the yellow gold and the darker gold pictured. It's much much darker than the darker product picture.
