HAWKINSFutura Hard Anodised Flat Tava 26 cm, 4.88 mm (Black)

Has all features I was looking for. It has metal handle without heating up. The plastic (or whatever they call) handles get burnt in one use on flame based stoves giving extremely poisonous gas and odor every time you use them which is not the case with this one. The handle is bent which gives very nice grip and ease of use. It is very sturdy and handles are joint with rippits. No issues with coating so far. The edges are very short which was our first requirement. It is very easy to clean without the fear of damaging surface.

Extremely pleased with this, finally found an option for coping on induction stove that is both healthy and doesn’t get destroyed in a month. Recommend it

This product is as good as it gets in terms of a Tawa. Very heavy duty. Will last a long time. I remove burned on stains with steel wool/brillo pads.

My sister from India bought this as a gift to make Dosa for my kids. But this product sticks to the dough when poured on the hot surface, even at reduced heat. I have tried various temperatures. I followed the instructions exactly. I have been making dosa for over 40 years and never had a product this bad. Funny thing is that a cheap walmart griddle worked far better. The anticlimax was my little daughter wanted to see how the dosa is made and she was looking forward to see something like what her aunt (my sister) makes. She was so disappointed. After trying several times, I decided to return this product. It did work with chappathis, nans and other dishes that are more consistent in texture. The picture on the box indicates that this would also make dosas and thats why my sister bought this for me. I have other Hawkins pots and pants that never gave any problem.

I bought this one for making dosa but its no good for making dosa since it isn't non-stick. Its just anodized. Its good for making chapathis and rotis, something that doesn't stick to its bottom. It catches heat really fast and maintains that temperature too. But its not good for any kind of dough that would stick to its bottom. Its heavy and looks good. I should have bought a non-stich griddle instead of this one.

Very nice. Good to make rotis, Indian bread. It’s not non-stick. Compatible with induction stove.

Good quality

Excellent to make chapatis, but compared to the similar concave tava, this one is on the thinner side. if you have a gas stove, buy Futura's concave tava which is much thicker and gives beautiful, perfect chapatis. I used that one for 3-4 years and then had to buy this flat one since I moved, and my new place has a glass top on which the concave tava would not work. This one is good but not great.

It's a nice product, but you try to avoid oil while making parantha, else it will leave brown marks. For chapati it's great.. better than non stick. Even if you get brown marks it's really east to clean with light scrub.. it removes easily.

Very sturdy, good quality pan/tava. Ideal for making chapattis/paratha/dosa/omelette/ pancake everything . And compatible with Electric hob

Please don’t buy it for your induction cooker 😞.. it cooks very very slow .. it’s probably not mentioned it’s not for induction.
