Quick replacement part, works great so far.
Installed 5/2/26 and so far words great. It was a perfect match for my LG front loader and fit perfectly in place of the broken OEM one. Buying an OEM replacement would have been ideal but I did not want to have my washing machine out of commission for that long. If/when I have issues with this part I will update my review to reflect my experience.

Works as it should
Bought this to replace my 13 year old washing machine door lock. It's not really broken but since I'm replacing the drain pump and the boot seal, might as well change it. You'll need a special tool to remove the sping tensioned clamp holding the front boot seal to replace this one. It took me less than 2 minutes to remove the front boot clamp, 2 screws that hold the door lock and the connector. It's really quick and straightforward install. The lock works as it should and works like how my OEM part. I recommend changjng this part if you're changing the boot seal since it's fairly easy and a quick install.

This worked perfectly and saved me a ton of money. I'm thankful the local appliance repair shop completely failed me by never following up on my repair request. That pushed me to take the door apart and find a YouTube video that shows the most common problem piece (this door lock switch). I then found this on Amazon for around $20 delivered next day. The part from LG was over $100. Thankfully this worked like a charm. Even if I have to replace this 5 or 6 times, I'm good. Still cheaper than a single part from LG.

So, woke up one morning to do laundry and my LG washer would immediately go dE1 every time I pressed start... my 4 year old washer won't start, immediately it would say dE1 without any hesitation or trying to lock the door. I searched online and found this part might fix that problem... for the price I thought I would give it a go... SO GLAD I DID!!! took 5 mins to watch a YouTube video on how to replace the part (SO EASY, the hardest part is getting the metal tension ring back on the gasket (I used 2 ppl and a pair of scissors to open the spring, and we got it in 3 tries). THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS PART AN OVERNIGHT PRIME ITEM!!! All other local parts stores around me at M-F 8-4... like when am I supposed to get the part? This part worked great, and was still able to get all my work clothes washed before Sunday night. BUY THIS FIRST if you are getting dE1 error.
