Enough text, but not too much. Plenty of good images. A few more close-ups would have been nice to see details of paint application.

This catalogue for the much delayed exhibition at The Royal Academy, London is an absolute delight. The Designer's and Printers must be congratulated on not just the quality of print and binding but the obvious care with which the whole book has been produced and all done in the United Kingdom. Even the lamination of the cover has a superb tactile quality, which if he was still alive I'm sure even Francis Bacon would be satisfied with. This book deserves a place in every library that studies Bacon. As a Book Designer with over forty years experience in publishing I appreciate this level of quality.
