Amazing!!
You know, I really wanted to throttle Sage for the first half of this book with her annoying and unnecessary meddling. But besides that, I liked this one just as much if not more than the first. Also, Erin, please stop breaking my heart at the end of the books like that. I can only take so much 😭😭

Almost as epic as the first one
Erin Beaty claims in her acknowledgments that this book was much harder to write than the first and you can tell. The plot is thicker and you have to wait until the very end of the book for all of it to come together but what's so great about Beaty's writing, is that it does come together at the end. There are no loose bits and everything makes sense, even the parts that you may not be a big fan throughout the book make sense once everything is wrapped up.Sage and Alex's love remains the biggest allure in these books, I mean, as much as I love all the spy goodness and the intrigue happening in the shadows, the political affairs and all that... it's still the overwhelming well-written love story between Sage and Alex that always makes me smile like a silly teenager. It's the sort of love that makes everything right when the world is bleak. In this book I adored the introduction of Banneth, Darit , Lani and their wonderful world full of new traditions and culture to explore and I can't wait for the next book when we will get the inside to the Kimisar world. The Traitor's Ruin delves into the gritty world of life in the army and how wars can't so easily be stopped once started, it was also very smart to show the way water can be used to create life/relationships as it is to end it. Literally. This is quickly shaping up to be one of my ultimate favorite series and I can't tell how sad I am that we might only have one final book when I would be happy to read another 10 about Sage and the family she gathered along the way.

I couldnt love Sage more!
What a ride!! And I didn't think I could love Sage more! She absolutely amazes me with her cleverness and ideas. Alex irritated me a bit through out the book because of how he treated her. But in the end, he won me back! It was also nice to see a foreign royal see Sage's worth. Lani is now one of my favorite characters as is Bennath! I look forward to see what's in store for Huzar as he won my respect for what he did for Sage. I'm not ready for this series to end 😭😭

Enjoyable Sequel
This was a pretty good sequel. I highly recommend picking this up.I love our main couple, they are super adorable, and I can't help rooting for them.I really enjoyed the plot of this one. I liked that we get to see more of this world.I can't wait to pick up the third and final book to find out how this trilogy wraps up!

Sweet Spirit, order it!
I love this series and I just might be in love with Alex Quinn - don't tell my husband. Picking up several months after Traitor's Kiss ended, Traitor's Ruin pulls us deeper into an unsettled kingdom with specters lurking everywhere. The story is tight, and it is hard to put down. As a big fan of the first book, it's clear that Erin Beaty has found her voice with Traitor's Ruin. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be re-reading both books for all those clues Erin's left for us!

2nd in series continues the story of a spunky girl on the run in middle ages
A must read for fans of the Traitors series, but this one lacks the spunk of the 1st in the series

AMAZING
Half way through the book, I thought "how can this get more intense?" Beaty did it. This second stage of the series only makes me want more!

Great fantasy writing - loved it, please let there be more!
I read the first couple of chapters and knew I'd have to go back and reread The Traitor's Kiss to remind myself of how Sage and Alex first met. What a treat! I'd forgotten just what a great read that is. Don't even dream of reading this one first, you're missing out on a great back-story. That being said, we are given enough to make sure we can keep up, without it being obtrusive.Sage is a great strong female lead, with believable flaws that make her in a strange way more perfect. We learn more of her background in this book and I can't help thinking that there's more of that to come. Alex is allowed to be vulnerable throughout this second book and I liked that we got to learn about the impact of loss and trauma on him. Not often much PTSD in fantasy fiction - perhaps a testament to the author's own background. But more importantly, a great story, populated by great characters - many of whom we can hope to hear more of in future - and really well-written.

Mesmerising
This story is so well executed that it became obligatory to continue reading until finished. Truly enjoyed the world building and characters.

Me gustó más el primero
Entrega puntual. Pero en lo referente a la historia del libro, la historia se vuelve enrevesada en ocasiones sin mucho argumento. Me gustó más el primer libro.
