Good value and performance
I have this as a pre treatment filter on my well water and it does a fine job of removing fine particles from the water before it reaches the softener system. I replace it every 6 months. Reasonable cost for the protection provided. Not sure the carbon is enough to really do anything beyond a short period of time, but the 5 micron filtration is great.

Works very well in my home's water system
This is one of the better whole house filter cartridges on the market. I had bought them at Lowe's until they stopped carrying them; glad I found them on Amazon. My water quality is such that I change them quarterly.

Great filters
We use these in our sediment filter under our house. We are on well water and these filters do a fantastic job of removing sedimentation from our water. There is a big difference in the toilets, sinks and bathtubs. We have been using them for 3 years or more.

A0 Smith carbon sediment filter seems to out-perform other filters we have tried.
Have tried several different brands. The AO Smith 5 micron filter seems to last longer And do a good job.

Works well as a water well filter. Cheaper than the store version
This filter works really well for the price. This is used to filter put sediment from the well water before it goes into the water softener. It works really well and I haven't had any issues with it. It was easy to install and doesn't significantly reduce the water pressure. It fits just like the oem version but because its on Amazon its way cheaper than the alternative that we could buy in store locally.
