Can not keep the clips to stay fastened, and even let out as much as possible, they still run just a tad bit smaller and difficult to stay snapped. The material is wonderful, just that the clips need to be stronger.

Yes, they are sturdy, and the 2” wide straps ensure that they don’t get twisted. However, the short elasticated straps at the back (only) make the suspenders difficult to use for old-timers.Also the buckles at the back, although strong, are subject to disconnection when sitting on slatted chairs. The clamp lever needs to be semi-circular at the bottom. This will reduce propensity for the lever to be unlatched.

I purchased 3 pairs of these suspenders, two for my 90 year old dad, and one for myself. Gravity and age being what it is, a belt won't work for dad anymore and he has to have suspenders to keep his pants up. These suspenders are perfect for him. They are durable, strong, simple to install, and will not stretch, and do not need adjustment often. He needs assistance dressing and these suspenders work well for him, with assistance from the nurses. As for my pair, I wore them outdoors this week doing hard landscaping work and they did not slip at all and held my pants exactly where I wanted them. Note: these are work suspenders, meant to take it! They are not fancy "galluses" or "braces", like I wear to the courtroom with a bow tie or Jerry Garcia necktie when I try a case. I gave these to my husband as a stocking stuffer for Christmas as he wears suspenders everyday for work. He really likes them, but would prefer a suspender that all elastic. The clips are great, heavy duty and don't slip. I must have misread the description for the suspenders when they arrived the packaging said they are for holding tool belts, my husband only needs for his pants. Maybe that is why they weren't all elastic. They still serve their purpose and he uses them daily.

This pair is no what I have always have ordered but decided to keep it because it is almost as good as my original set.Will have to get another catalogue to find the right ones.

I like them but when I was searching I wanted carhart but they were made in China so I searched under made in the USA and these came up which said they were so I ordered them, got here and a piece of white tape was over made in USA and there was a made in ? I just felt a bit ripped on the advertisement I needed them so they work ok thanks this is an honest review

These are heavy-duty suspenders made for tool belts, but they'll work with heavier weight blue jeans or work pants. Despite the Amazon description, the suspenders are made in Dominican Republic, NOT USA. The clips seem sturdy and clamp tight. The leather patch on back is sewn with very lightweight thread; not sure how long it will last.

I had to adjust all the way out ignorer to get the suspenders over my shoulders and it felt too snug still. I didn't understand there were "average" build sized suspenders and not for a long torso body.

I had a pair of these types of suspenders 50 years ago. They were terrific then and they are terrific now. They are wide, like something a construction worker might wear. Excellent product.
