I have a long story to tell but I'll make it short I had hives that I thought were caused by shrimp but now are uncertain. I had hives about 15 years ago and it was from stress from a divorce. I had them for year and a half and the only thing that really made them go away was cardiovascular exercise I started running and within a few weeks they were completely gone. So they reappeared recently probably due to stress not the shrimp. I am a dermatology nurse so I went to my office where they gave me all kinds of antihistamines that make you drowsy and steroid shots. I realize I couldn't keep getting steroid shots as they are not good for you and the antihistamines were just making my life miserable. So I decided to research what is it in your body that keeps you from breaking out with hives.What is your natural histamine.And I came up with DAO which is in this product. My research said that your natural DAO needs magnesium to work. So I purchased this product and I take one at night along with magnesium and vitamin C. I take them at night because my hives start while I'm sleeping around 3 o'clock in the morning. Little by little this product cured my hives. I also started running again. Currently I may have one or two hives in the morning and I am completely off this product. I highly recommend this product. No side effects and capsule is easy to swallow. I received mine today and will return unopened. The front label is the same, but the ingredients have changed from the one pictured when I ordered to some vitamins and supplements believed to enhance the body's production of DAO but contains no Diamine Oxidase. You cannot charge for a $33 bottle of supplements and then change it without changing your ad! Now I've waited a week for it and still don't have what I need.

This product does not contain the ingredients as advertised on the Amazon site. It is supposed to have diamine oxidase but instead contains a bunch of other enzymes and compounds that have nothing to do with breaking down histamine. It should not be called Histame as advertised. I have been given a refund and will return the product. I ordered this to help my wife deal with hives due to excess histamine.Instead I got a product that contains Quercetin that is contraindicated for the meds she is on. You need to remove it or change the list of ingredients!

One of the primary ingredients of Histame is prolyl endopeptidase (PEP). You can find several reports about this substance on Google. One report says that PEP is found in significantly higher amounts in the blood plasma of colorectal cancer (CRC) patients than in the blood of persons who do not have CRC. The article is titled "Prolyl endopeptidase activity is correlated with colorectal cancer prognosis." Another article ("The determination of PEP activity in the plasma may be a safe, minimally invasive and inexpensive way to define the aggressiveness of CRC in daily practice.") indicates that the more PEP in the blood, the more aggressive the CRC is. I wrote to the president of Marilyn Nutraceuticals and asked why his people would have chosen a substance associated with CRC as a major ingredient when the product was reformulated. It's been a month and I've had no reply.
