Get ready for hummingbird battle royale...
Please listen to me and heed my warning, this nectar has created a literal frenzy in my backyard. I know that sounds weird, but this stuff is unusually attractive for hummingbirds. We suspect the secret ingredient is crack. To explain further, we used to use a different brand of red nectar and saw maybe one or two birds come by a day. We ran out eventually and thought we'd give this clear nectar a try after seeing all of the positive reviews. After filling my feeder with this new stuff, I questioned if it would attract any birds at all because the nectar was almost invisible. Since my feeder looked like it was empty, I wasn't sure if any birds would notice it was full. After a couple days, the birds took notice, and we started attracting a lot more than before. At any point of the day you'd see at least one or two humming birds just chilling and drinking from our feeder. I even saw four birds at once! Even without looking, our backyard was filled with clicks from the hummingbirds all day.But then it happened ...some alpha birds started coming around. These birds started fighting over dominance creating a literal hunger games among the other birds. It's crazy! Eventually, one bird with a red throat, took dominance and started keeping guard over our feeder throughout the entire day. He/she doesn't even sit on the feeder, but is perched on a nearby fence to keep a tactical vantage point over other incoming birds. If a bird tries to fly to the feeder, this red-throated guard bird would chase them way and click wildly at them. Even now as I write this, there's a torrential downpour in Southern California, and this stupid bird is in the rain guarding the feeder.I'm not sure what to do or how to feel about this. I mean, I liked that the nectar attracted so many birds, but now I don't see any birds except this red-throated one who is soaking wet keeping guard over my feeder. I'm expecting any day now for an army of birds to retaliate and overthrow the self-proclaimed red-throated ruler of the nectar, which I guess would be cool. I'll try to take video when it happens.

I wanted to return it but the return window is too short
I put this nectar in the feeder my hummingbirds use every day. To compare it, I put another feeder next by with a solution of sugar/water. My hummingbirds just don't go to the feeder that contains the Kaytee nectar. I compared it with another nectar from Pinebush, the hummingbirds like the Pinebush but not the Kaytee. Too late to be returned, so I will trash it.

The hummingbirds go through this so fast! They love it
My two hummingbirds love the product. They go through it in the blink of an eye. I avoid the red dyed mixture because it's unnatural and unhealthy. The hummingbirds are like bees and will find the plain clear mixture.

The Hummingbirds like it as much
as my "homemade" liquid. After a few scientific reviews I think that stuff isn't bad, but the price is just a rip-off.
