Rochester's Lakeside Resorts and Amusement Parks (Images of America: New York)

I liked to see how things were before I was born-in my parents time. One thing I'd like to see is Rochester Ploice, Sheriff and Fire dept. 1930-1950.

It's a fun look at a bygone era of Rochester. I grew up on the shores of Lake Ontario, just a few steps from Ontario Beach Park but have heard stories and remember places like Willow Point Park, and the earlier days of Sea Breeze (Dreamland Park).

I loved this book but wanted more! Hard to believe there was so much happening down at the beach back then. It was a busy place. Sad, compared to it now. I can't even imagine where everything was. The salt water pool was fascinating too. Too bad it only lasted a few years. The book is a delightful look at a bygone era.
