3/3/2014 update:This product is the real deal, at least with our Border Collie mix. I tried alternating with another skin/coat nutrient that wasn't specifically for shedding, and after about a month, the shedding returned with a vengeance!!I reinstated the Shed No More tabs, and it took several weeks, but the shedding is again reduced. (I'd estimate the product reduces shedding by 1/2 to 2/3.) I also raised the rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. Previously I reduced one star due to trouble getting our pet to take/eat the tablets, but by breaking into fourths, she readily chews them.Original review:I think this works. I say "think" because I started giving it to my Border Collie mix in mid-September, and I'm not sure if the reduced shedding is from the supplement or possibly less shedding due to change of season. (We adopted her the previous summer, and I don't recall if shedding lessened last winter.) It took 3 or 4 weeks to notice a difference.There might be a slight improvement in coat shine and gloss, but I may be imagining it. I took one star away because after using this for 60 days now, our dog is not as enthusiastic about taking the tablets. It takes 3 or 4 tries to get her to eat the tablet, but this may be true of any supplement over time.My initial bottle is almost gone, and I've ordered Pet Naturals Skin & Coat for Dogs (45 count) this time just to change up the flavor. Hopefully it will reduce shedding in a similar manner. FWIW, The Shed No More is $0.375/day for my 25 lb dog; the Pet Naturals will be $0.20/day. If they are similarly effective, I'll probably alternate them.

SO I am very OCD and spent most of my days sweeping up dog hair. I happened to get a Labradoodle that sheds. He doesn't bother my daughters Allergies though. I decided to try Shed no more pills because I researched what would help stop Toby from shedding so much. These pills are a God send. They really do work. I rotate days that I give him the morning and night dose because it makes his poop soft. One day I'll only give the morning dose, then the next day the full dose. It has not stopped his shedding completely, but it has stopped it tremendously. Instead of seeing fur tumble weeds every day, it's days apart now and still not as much. I vacuum to clean now and not just to get the dog hair up. The only thing I don't like is that it's suppose to be chewable but Toby hates it. I have to put it in peanut butter and put it in the freezer to get hard so he swallows it straight down. If you don't freeze the peanut butter they'll find the pill because the peanut butter sticks to the roof of their mouth.

My baby is a white 13lb Jack Russell chihuahua mix who is very healthy, but she sheds excessively to where there is white fur on every surface even with cleaning twice a day. I was looking on Amazon for a supplement to help and came across this. She was on one chewable, once a day, mixed with a plate of food for five months. The supplements helped so much with the shedding, it was a huge relief for us.For the past month we noticed our baby scratching excessively and even caught her ripping her fur out in front of her tail. She gave herself a huge hot spot and was bleeding. She was so itchy that her mouth would be really hot and she couldn't stop scratching. We immediately took her to her veterinarian in which he advised us the supplements were actually causing her skin to dry out because her coat couldn't shed.We had to toss out the rest of the supplements and it's extremely disappointing that it caused such a bad reaction.We gave three stars because it was effective with excessive shedding and the price point is extremely fair.

I purchased a bottle of these so that I could Hopefully Help My Shepsky's Shedding Problem. I seen that the Description says that They have Good Taste and it even has some Good Reviews. My Dog won't Touch Them at All. I have tried giving Them to Him a few different ways now and I have even tried mixing Them in some Canned Food. He still finds away to spit them out and then if I do happen to get Him to take them. They haven't helped His Shedding Out at All. Completely Waste of Money if You Ask Me.

The formula of this product CERTAINLY changed when the packaging changed several months ago. My dog used to eat these on their own like treats, now he will only eat them if they are wrapped up in wet food or dissolved \ crushed into his regular meal. That said, I don’t think it really matters as long as the product is still effective and you are able to crush it into your dog’s food to get them to take it.On to the efficacy. Yes, this product works in supporting normal shedding. This means your dog will still shed, but how much and how frequently depends on their breed and unique genetic makeup. Some dogs shed heavily year-round while others have a big load-off once or twice per year in spring and/or fall, along with some degree of shedding in-between. The big thing to be aware of here is you still need to brush your dog! This supplement helps to support normal shedding and create a strong, lustrous, healthy coat but it isn’t magic :)I’ve been giving this supplement to my dog since January. He no longer sheds constantly, heavily year-round, but heavily for a week or two in spring and fall. After a few vigorous brushing sessions at those times, he’s all set! His coat looks amazing and I certainly could tell a difference after the first month or so of use. I get compliments all the time on how shiny and healthy his coat looks, I am even surprised when I return from vacation or a weekend away.In short, I would recommend this product, just know that you most likely still need to brush your dog to support a healthy coat and the normal shedding process. And your dog will most likely NOT eat these directly from the bottle.

We saw the difference within two weeks!! We have an Aussie Shepherd x Black Lab x Bullmastiff mix and she was shedding out a new dog every week despite being on excellent food and getting doggie vitamins. It was insane. I was swiffering/vacuuming twice a day. We started giving her the Shed No More tablets (2 tabs twice a day) and by week two there was a noticeable difference. After one month, I can go three plus days without having to swiffer (regarding the dog hair anyway) That’s huge, as far as I’m concerned.
