Maybelline The Colossal Liner

This was my first Maybelline pen eye liner. (I use Maybelline eye studio Gel liner). I thought, using a pen liner would be much convenient and time saving than a gel liner. So, I had purchased it during an ongoing amazon deal. Initially, for the first 4-5 uses, it worked fine. But then very soon it started giving me improper finish. The final color was not as dark as I expected it to be. It was diluted black (as if you paint your canvas by adding too much water in your pure black acrylic painting color). It was tough to believe that the liner was emptying so soon but it did happen in my case. It almost dried off within 10-12 uses. I didn't like this deal cost effective in real sense. Now, for a long time, I have switched back on my gel liner.

This is the second. Time I have ordered the items .the first time too the products were damaged so the delivery was cancelled ..and now I was atleast expecting a good experience .but I got all damaged products.

Control that the pen and it's brush tip gives is perfect for an eye line drawing novice like me. I could draw beautiful cat eyes' line over the lid with it. The colour pay off was fantastically black, and application was very very easy. I could do it finally thanks to this!On the flipside, the eye lining pen was NOT SEALED, not sure whether the amount of moistness or dryness it has is indicative of the remaining amount of product inside it. That's an absolute bummer. Seal pack is essential. And it didn't come that way. Did I get a shop's open tester? No way to tell.Also, it's certainly NOT waterproof at all. One splash of water on face and it came off. Which is fine by me, i didn't care for it. Smudge proof bit is not 100 percent but not as bad as a kajal.So yes for a 'pen'. But will be trying other brands next time to hopefully find something better. And sealed!PS: in the images, I've applied kaajal in waterline and the marker pen above eyelid. The pen’s tip is suitable for thin to thick application .I was hesitant towards purchasing a fell tip liner, but happy with the choice.Although mentioned matte,but found finish to be little glossy.Not water resistant but stays longer than liquid bottle ones
