Air Lift Air Shock Controller Air Compressor and Pressure Gauge - 25804

I bought this as a set for a 2017 Ram 1500. I was towing a heavy trailer and did not like the squat the truck had. The installation was very straightforward and I found some tips on you tube to make it even easier. It came with everything needed from mounting hardware to the length of hose. I ran it into my center console. Take your time with the install, don't rush it and you'll be very happy. The unit is very reliable. I'm in Florida with lots of rain, deep puddles, dust and dirt. I do not operate the pump unless I'm in a dry spot with clean air and I have had zero problems. I've had it installed for several months now and I couldn't be happier. If your in a very dusty area I would recommend putting a pre filter over the entire unit, the same ones used for a oiled cold air filter would work perfectly. The only thing I added that did not come with the kit was a wire protector sleeve. I used it to cover the air hose everywhere underneath the chassis. The hose is well built but I know there's going to be bumps and vibration so I used the sleeve to mitigate any friction damage. The squat was completely gone even with a max load. However... Keep in mind this will not take the place of a load leveler. The 1,000 lbs provided by these bags only helps the downward weight in the rear. Your front will still lift up. For heavy gear in the truck bed, or helping with squat from a regular load tow this is your answer. If your heavy hauling over longer distance I would say this is a nice compliment to a load leveling setup. The bags require a minimum pressure of 5 psi at all times. This locks them in place and keeps them from chaffing on the coil springs. This minimum 5 psi changed the ride feel of my truck when it's empty, the best way to describe it is that it went from feeling like a 1500 to a 2500 when going over bumps. Some of your cushy car-ride like experience in the 1500's will be gone, but you have the feel of a heavier duty truck. This particular kit read like it was actually intended for a air shock system, but it works perfectly fine for my two full size airbags. The pump doesn't run longer than 30 seconds to go from zero to max psi. Hope this helps!

This is a pretty nice kit, it has everything you need to get it installed in your ride. I put this on a 2004 suburban with Airlift 1000 air springs. My only complaint is that the gauge is 10-200 psi. The air bags only take 35 psi when loaded and only 5 psi when not loaded. I knew that when I bought the kit but I wish they had a kit with a gauge that had a lower psi range that went down to zero. I was able to mount the gage in my glove box and the compressor under the middle row seat. It turned out clean and works as desired. Nice to have air whenever and wherever you need it.FYI it took me about 6 hours to install this kit and air springs. It could easily be done in 2-3 hours or less if you were less particular about routing and location of the compressor and gauge.

I purchased the Air Lift unit with a set of Monroe Max Air shocks as suggested by Amazon. My vehicle is a resto-mod 1956 Willys Wagon. I had purchased new leaf springs but they were a bit soft for what I needed. This air shock and compressor set up gives me the ability to stiffen up and raise the rear of my wagon when carrying heavy loads and lower and soften the shocks when I want a softer ride.The installation was pretty straight forward. I suggest that you have a pretty good level of experience to do this job. It is not really hard but you have to understand how to remove and install shock absorbers, wire circuts and install guages. When you are installing the air lines be sure to use a tube cutter or a razor blade to make very straight and clean cuts to avoid leaks.Once it is set up you can inflate and deflate the shocks from inside your car. Since they are air shocks and not the larger air bags they inflate quickly.Together these make a great kit that allows the user to have adjustable shock absorbers controlled from inside the vehicle.

Works great to haul travel trailer. Gets the truck leveled and riding properly. 5lbs in the line unloaded helps stabilize the rear of my Ram 2500.Only issue was they need to include one more T-Coupler to mate the compressor with the gauge and bags. I had to buy a separate T to run the line to the dash gauge.Easy install, take your time.Compressor is loud when in use, but it’s not enough to annoy anyone else.

Really happy with this unit in my 2019 Dodge Ram 1500. I decided to mount both the compressor and the gauge / switch in the back floor storage compartment.For me, I wanted the convenience of air onboard vs necessarily the ability to adjust from the drivers seat.The kit came with all the hardware and wiring to be successful in a smooth installation.

Works well, as advertised. I bought some extra Ts and unions for my installation. I also took the gauge, power switch and deflater valve out of the supplied bracket and mounted those items directly in the dash panel of my E350. As for the backlight, it's just a 2 pole bulb. Find some ground and pull the positive off of something like a parking or dash light. It's not rocket surgery.This product makes it so easy to add / remove air pressure from your air shocks. Very handy when you hook up or unhook from a trailer or load your vehicle so that you need to adjust the ride. It makes enough noise that you will know it is working. Does not take long to add 20 - 40 pounds of pressure at all. Another good point is that this compressor only uses a 15 amp circuit. Some other compressors I've seen need 30 amp power, a problem if the switch is remote to the compressor as this one is intended. You don't want to run welding cable now do you?One of the other reviews suggests using using wire loom to cover and protect the air line running to the cab gauge and switch. Oh Duh! I really should have done that. An excellent recommendation.Oh, and remember to keep that air line away from the exhaust pipes. K?

Bought it for my 08 F150 to help while towing my travel trailer. Simple straight forward installation with minimal tools and mechanical skills. I mounted the compressor on the inside of my frame rail because Air Lift says that's the best place so it can get cooler air rather than the engine compartment. I have found that since I bought it and placed it there (under the truck) that I really don't use it much to air up. That being said, I don't see why you couldn't mount it in the engine compartment, it would get enough air and would be better protected from the elements.Some issues I have had so far with this unit:1. The gauge setup could be a lot more modern lookingto blend in with the interior.2. Trying to hook the light up around the gauge bezel was a bit of a cluster...the instructions don't even cover that so your'e on your own there. Even though there's google it's still nice to have something on paper.3. Depending on where you mount it the wires and air line stick out and make look pretty messy because you're rather limited on where you can put it in a F150.4. This is my own fault, but the air line chaffed and wore a hole in the line on my way back from Texas. My quick fix was to cut the line and bypass the gauge. Keep extra unions handy and about 10 feet of hose with you when you travel.Now for the good points:1. It was designed for air shocks, but I use it for my air bags and it has no problem pushing air to them.2. There is plenty of air line and wire to run it pretty much any where.3. The instructions for the install are easy and it took me about an hour or so to install.4. The most important point of all is that it holds the air!! When you use the air line that comes with it. I used air line I bought from NAPA .97 cents a foot to patch the hole I had and it slowly leaks air. It fixed it, but I don't want to worry about watching every time I go on a road trip.So with all that being said I think its a great little setup. Could I have done it myself for less money? Yes, but I didn't feel like throwing together a system when I could have a few less headaches by just getting the whole kit. One last note, do yourself a favor and buy some wire loom (the plastic stuff that covers wires) and run your air lines and wires through it. Hope this little bit of info helps.

Realized when I got it that it was for airshocks! Saw that others used it for the airbags, so I installed it anyway....it was 40 bucks cheaper, and other than the 200psi dial (bags only go to 100), it works perfect!! Pretty darn easy install too, but I have lifter switches so I just tied into those. Those with Fords (F250SD) it attaches perfect just to the left of the steering wheel (there is a seam there, bottom panel just pops off) ran wires and hose under door jam (pops off again) and out through the vent behind back seat, through rubber grommet in back of bed (drilled a hole in it and put back in) mounted compressor on the inside of the side wall! Perfecto!

Easy to install, and fills rear bags fine. I did have an issue with 2 separate gauges out of the box. It says not to tamper but after taking off fitting from back of gauge, it appeared some sort of grease or lubricant was blocking off the small orifice hole for the air to travel to the gauge. Once cleaned it worked fine. I'm guessing assembly worker may have applied to much maybe when slipping on gauge assembly hose fittings. All good now
