The Art of Ori and the Will of the Wisps Hardcover – 31 October 2020

Gamers who are taken in by the aesthetics of the Ori games, or just anyone who appreciates beautiful game art and design, are in for a real treat. It’s a thick, heavy book chock full of gorgeous concept art on high quality pages. I have a bias and preference for character design, though the environments are so lush and beautifully done that I appreciate those as well, and it’s a testament to how strong of an art book this is overall.

This artbook was produced to accompany the Ori and the Will of the Wisps game. It features some really nice concept artwork from the game all printed in high quality full glossy colour! The book comes sealed and well packaged by amazon. Mine came with the included banner sleeve the wrong way up for some strange reason. Heyho!

Positiv+ Tolle Artworks im einzigartigen Stil von Blind Forest und Will of the Wisps+ Druckqualität und Farben exzellent+ Kurze Kommentare zu den Artworks geben Einblick in den Entwicklungsprozess der verschiedenen Regionen, Charaktere und Gegner.Negativ- Auf recht vielen Seiten kleben oben und unten teilweise kleine Papierspäne, vermutlich vom Schneiden der Seiten, die sich nicht einfach entfernen lassen. Das fällt besonders bei dunklen Artworks auf.- Achtung wer überlegt, bei FuturePress direkt zu bestellen. Die Bücher werden aus Großbritannien verschickt, was im Shop ärgerlicherweise nirgendwo ersichtlich ist. Dadurch werden Einfuhrabgaben (ca. 16€ zusätzlich) fällig. Daher habe ich mein Exemplar dann bei Amazon bestellt. Dieses kam dann zwar auch aus dem UK, nur ohne diese Abgaben bezahlen zu müssen.
