This is another excellent book in Hamlyn's '200' series. It is divided into sections covering bite-sized snacks, savoury light bites, main meals, sweet pies and sweet tarts, as well as a small gluten-free section. For each recipe there is a colour picture, a clearly set out ingredients list and straightforward instructions. Almost all the recipes have a suggested variant too, so in practice you get more than 200 recipes in the book. It would be nice if each recipe had a short text description of the item to help decide whether to cook it, but that is a minor point. All in all, an excellent, practical little book. Highly recommended.

Perfect book for me, easy to follow, ingredients that are easy to source, delicious combinations and ideas. Love it. Easy to use in a kitchen... Not previous about spoiling the book. Love flexible covers they are like magazines... Or like home made recipe books...

This book is outstanding.So many pies and tarts to practice on at a bargain price.You would have to be nuts not to buy it.I also bought Hamlyn's cake book and also the jam one.This company are brilliant.Cheers Amazon for making my day.

Bought this for my neighbor's 12 year old daughter. She loves it. The recipes are easy to follow.

Same has the other one it was sent to Africa .
