How do they fit so much sound into such a tiny box?
The speaker was very well packaged and arrived in mint condition. My first impression is that it is very small, but has a nice, solid heft to it. It has a rubberized, non-slip coating of some sort. It feels very substantial and looks very sleek and hi-tech. I switched it on, and it woke right up. I tried the FM radio feature first. The controls are a bit strange, but once I got that sorted out it auto-found all my local stations. They came in loud and clear.Did I say loud? How do they fit so much sound into such a tiny box? At full volume it really fills up a room. Good sound too--no distortion even when maxed out. The highs and mids are clean and well defined. The bass won't break any windows but is much better than I expected from such a small, cheap speaker. If I were allowed only one word to describe the audio, it would be "crisp". Next I tried Bluetooth. The Bluetooth feature is simple to figure out. The speaker and my LG G2 paired up in about 3 seconds. I used the generic music app on the LG to play some Argentine Tango music from the Golden Age and also an orchestral arrangement of "Rhapsody in Blue". As a final test, I cranked some 70's-80's classic rock all the way up. In every case, the sound quality was most satisfying. I also found I could control speaker volume from my phone. Cool!To test Bluetooth range, I carried my phone across the bedroom and the link was still solid. I walked down my hallway, across the family room and almost to my kitchen, and the link still held. My wife said the music never got choppy. So--better than expected Bluetooth range.Good points:*Long battery life (2 to 3 hours of use per day for 3 days before it needs a recharge).*Sleek, high-tech appearance & sturdy construction.*Loud, crisp audio.*Fast, easy Bluetooth connectivity with very long range (up to 50 feet outdoors).*Sensitive, selective, and nice-sounding FM radio built right in.*Standard audio input port on the back for non-Bluetooth music players.*Low price (I paid $37 with free shipping from Amazon. The speaker is worth twice that).Bad points:*Useless instructions--microscopic print in badly broken English.*Confusing controls--too few buttons doing too many different things.*If the built-in clock is an important thing to you, look elsewhere.*Needs more bass.Bottom Line: This is a very loud, clear, and good-looking speaker at a cheap price. If you need an affordable speaker for a teen or a child, or if you don't want to risk your $200 Jawbone at a rowdy pool party, get one of these!

Not great but definitely good.
As far as I'm concerned, all smaller Bluetooth speakers suffer from the same problem. Their bass sucks and their mids and highs are awful. The sound they produce is either muddy or hollow. I am not actually an audiophile; but even I can tell the bass enhancements, as they are often called, muddy up the mids and high frequency sounds. The Soundance Portable Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Speaker really isn't a whole lot different in this respect. Soundance even suggests their bass enhancement is a "feature". Point-of-view I guess. For those who think there is a good bass solution, dream on. Good bass requires physical volume which no portable Bluetooth speaker is going to have. Physics is physics no matter the brand. Good bass requires a lot of air to be pushed around. Small speakers don't push lots of air around.Nevertheless I like it. It pairs quickly and reconnects well when turned on or brought into proximity with its Bluetooth source which in my case is either my phone or my PC hooked up with a Kinivo Bluetooth dongle. For a portable the sound is OK. Not great; but then It's small enough to fit into a backpack or briefcase. Bonus it has an alarm function which works even when the box is turned off. It has an FM radio and a micro-SD slot. I've used the alarm and tried the FM (functional); but, have not tried the microSD slot as yet.I won't be using this speaker for serious listening; but, for taking to the office or park it'll do quite nicely. It is not difficult to setup or use.

Nice portable speaker
Only giving 4 stars, due to how the controls and FM radio features are setup, otherwise this little speaker would get 5 stars. (FM Radio)-Where I live, there are a number of radio stations available (29 found) from 88.1 to 106.5, and the way the station scanning works and programs the presets is awkward to use as there is no way to delete the stations that I have no interest in. (Volume buttons)-This speaker would be better served if it had dedicated volume buttons, unfortunately though, if your using the FM radio and want to change the volume, you have to remember to press AND hold the button for the volume to work otherwise your going to change the station frequency, not a big deal just awkward. Another reason for giving this 4 stars, is that when you turn-on this speaker, it defaults to the #4 volume setting no matter how it was set when you turned it off. Otherwise I really like this unit as I have 20gb of music loaded to an SD memory card and the speaker can random shuffle across the whole thing. I just have my music loaded to the root directory since there is no display to tell you what the track info is, there is no need to have the music organized in any folder structure.

Awesome!
I am still thoroughly impressed by this speaker. The sound is greqt, and the amount of bass it can kick out is surprising for a speaker this small! The battery life was taken to a whole new level though, it states that the battery life lasts about 8 hours, but mine lasted about 33 hours, constantly playing music all the time it was turned on. The radio and alarm work well, but the alarm on mine was auto set for midnight when I pulled it out of the package.. so watch out for that. You can put a usb or microSD in the back, and you can set a song from one of them as the alarm music. If you want something that shows the time all the time, get something else because this one won't show the time if it's in bluetooth mode, radio, or playing music from a usb or microSD. Basically, you can only see the time after you've set an alarm. It would also be nice if they separated some of the buttons, as most of them have dual functions that require either a short press or a long press. Other than those little things, this is an awesome speaker!! The battery life is super impressive, and the bass is great too! Sound is great and it can also get pretty loud, although I haven't tried it on max volume.

Great sound, Sharp looking radio, but written direction take a bit of work to understand.
To anyone interested in this radio. I was looking for a small FM radio with a MP-3 player that I could move around the house or outside with me, and so far it works real good for that. There is plenty of volume, and receive most of the stations I want. I did as much research as I could before I settle on this little radio. It has a good sound for its size and looks cool sitting on a counter in my kitchen. It is not a expensive radio so if something does happen to it I won't be out a lot of money. The only two things that I thought are a bad design fault. Are the direction should be rewritten they are not very clear and easy to understand I figured the direction out but they could have been easier. If you can read Chinese that will be a big help. The other thing that I found out fairly quickly is when you need to recharge the battery you have no real warning. The radio just turns off, ( shuts down ). I would have gone with five stars if the directions had been written better.
