Great nostalgic game but a word of caution!!!
I absolutely love this game. I grew up with the original black one, and have memories of playing the one-on-one mode with childhood friends. What I love about this version is the headphone jack. I guess it is weird for a 23 year old to be playing it alone? Anyways, I like to plug in my headphones and play silently, without judgment. However, something STRANGE has been happening with my Bop It! I kept it in a cabinet. Dry, dark. The other items in the cabinet include a few DVDs, and my board games. As well as a plastic bag with a few nail polishes and a tiny travel size bottle of nail polish remover. Several months ago I noticed that the yellow Twist It knob was sticky. It got progressively worse, and it's diminished my interest in playing the game.. cause it's not fun to have your fingers stick to the knob and have to peel them away every time you "Twist It." Now it's happening on the other knobs. My theory is that the vapours of the acetone chemically reacted to the plastic of the knobs. It's a very unique, kinda soft rubbery plastic. So a word of caution about keeping your Bop It near anything chemically similar to acetone. I doubt this exact situation will happen to anyone else, because I am just a magnet for stupid disasters like this.. but it can't hurt to warn anyone.

Addicting for all ages
I bought this game for my niece as a Christmas present and had to try it out when it arrived. I was playing it while it was still in its packaging and couldn't stop! This game is totally addicting and fun!! Finally, when she opened it, we played the solo version then the head to head. The pass-it mode is sort of like hot potato and was a really fun time for the whole family-- all ages!It does have volume settings but it could stand to go a little bit louder. It gets hard to hear if people are talking and everyone's going to be laughing and yelling while playing this so there needs to be a louder option.Other than that, I would highly recommend this-- I want to buy one for myself!

My 9 year-old son loved it !
My 9 year-old son asked Santa for one toy and this was it. He first learned about it from the tv commercial on Nickelodeon. The "XT" has more features than the regular "Bog It" and he enjoyed the extra challenges. As parents, we also like the option to use ear plugs for car trips. The ear plugs could also be shared with his older 12 year-old brother so they could play together. I think it is a fun, educational toy because it encourages the player to listen carefully and respond quickly. Overall, we were happy with this purchase. I just wish I could have avoided the shipping fees since it was only about a $20 toy. The package did arrive fairly quickly though with the standard shipping. As Christmas approached, my young son added a clarinet to his Santa letter, which he knew was a long shot. On Christmas morning, both wishes were granted so he was a happy camper.

Good Husband toy!
I bought this as a family gift, for our family, for Christmas. My husband got REALLY into it. We are generally really competitive so it as fun to see who could get the higher score. The only problem was he is really good at it - none of us could come close. But the kids had fun trying! My 7 year old especially liked it. It was too hard for the 3 and 5 yr old. But great for 7 and up. Its kind of annoying to listen to after awhile so the ear phone jack is a huge, huge plus. No one has played with it recently but Im sure it will come back around and get some love soon.

This is the second one that did not work for us.
We received one of these that had been purchased from a chain store and it did not work. We took it back to the store. We purchased a second one from here (the stores were all sold out) and again it didn't work. The kids would get a chance to play one or two rounds, and it would not turn back on. We looked at troubleshooting and FAQs on websites for this product and no suggestions worked. This may have been a bad batch of toys? Of course, my children are disappointed since this was a present they were really looking forward to.

Fun, Fun, Fun!
I loved Bopit Xtreme and was so mad when I couldn't find it anywhere. So naturally when Bopit XT was released, I had to get it. I love it. It's fun to play with friends, family, or just myself in downtime.I have one problem. The high score caps off at 100. It's not too easy, but it's too easily achievable even with the different levels. Bopit Xtreme capped off at 250 which I achieved. I would like to see one that didn't cap off until 1000. Did I mention that I'm 21?It's great fun, but no educational value if you're looking for something like that for your kid.

Addictive toy, great for parties
This is one of those toys that just becomes addictive when you play it. I didn't understand the concept at first, but my daughter demonstrated it for me, and also showed me some YouTube video's with people playing it. This thing is a blast at parties, get a group of people in a circle and see who can play it the longest. Yes I know it seems expensive, but this thing is worth the price. Don't get the smaller version; you need this big one. Trust me. Really :)

Ehhh...
This is cool, however hard to play with. To many knobs to play with. I bought it for my 12 year son and he barely plays with it. Lost interest after he saw he really couldnt get the count higher than 20. The toy itself is cool but its really is pretty hard.
