Great developmentally appropriate puzzle
This wooden puzzle is great! The wood is sturdy but not too heavy, and can withstand my toddler banging the pieces around. I’m a fan of the bigger chunky knob, which is easier for my little one to hold on to as he develops his fine motor skill. It’s developmentally appropriate for my one year old and he’s learning to match the animal shapes. The colors are fun but not over stimulating.

Great gift!
I bought this for a friend’s toddler, and it was a huge hit! The little girl loved working the puzzle, but also enjoyed playing with the puzzle pieces by themselves and making the animal noises. Would definitely buy again for a gift!

Sturdy and well made puzzle
My 8 month old loves playing with this puzzle! We have many Melissa and Doug toys, and I notice the larger knobs allow for him to easily pickup and put down the puzzle’s different pieces.

Good quality puzzle
Our toddler has a lot of fun with this puzzle. I would say it is better for 18 months onwards. For younger ages, this puzzle may be a bit too hard. I would suggest a simpler shape puzzle to start off with before introducing this one. The quality is good, and our toddler loves playing with the animals. The puzzle takes a beating and it is still in excellent condition. The wooden pegs help her to grip the shapes more easily!

Perfect for my nephews birthday - the puzzle quality is great! It is a bit big so hard to store, but overall happy with it.
