Great for an older toddler!
Melissa and Doug products are so adorable and creative. I got this for my son when he was 16 months, to start working on color recognition. He was a little too young for it then, but at 18 months he’s starting to enjoy it more. The tails are magnetic and sturdy. Bold colors make this a fun, educational toy! Would make a great gift for an older toddler!

Very engaging toy for toddlers
It came nicely packaged. Built well. Easy for toddler to handle. My daughter is 20 months old and she completes it by herself. From time to tike. She may need help to get the tail end in properly. Very engaging and can be used multiple ways. Colors are vibrant. Each color's name is inder tge tail of the fish. Colors recognition, matching, counting etc. We love it. I really do hope it last to be passed down to next child

The best learning puzzle!
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this puzzle! My daughter loves this puzzle too lol. She just turned 2 years old and i bought her this puzzle for Christmas! The moment we started this puzzle she started learning her colors. She knows where every fish belongs and also is learning problem solving by turning the fish different ways so that it will fit. She was getting frustrated at first but now she can do it easily

Adorable
My son started to really love puzzles, but we only had a couple of animal puzzles and a number one, both of which were helping him learn pretty quickly, so I decided to buy him a couple more puzzles for his birthday so we could work on more vocabulary and recognition, like colors. I bought him this for his second birthday, and he mastered it in about 10 minutes. Haha. He calls it his "fish butt puzzle." It has certainly helped him learn his colors -- he knows the colors of all of the fish and can match them up very easily, though he always calls the red fish, orange. To be fair, it is a very orangey red and is not at all a true, bright red color. That's my only complaint is the shade of red used on that one fish. Everything else about the puzzle is great!

Great Price, Great Puzzle
We got this for when our two year old grandson and one and a half year old great grandson visit us. The boys already loved chunky puzzles, and the little knobs on this one were the next step in developing their fine coordination. They are also starting to learn colors. The great thing about this puzzle is that there is no "wrong" way to put it together since all the pieces are the same shape. Sometimes the boys make multicolored fish, but they are starting to get the concept of matching colors. Our grandson was really excited to see a picture of the puzzle on my computer today as I was getting ready to write this review. His response was "FISH!!!! I like fish!" And then he ran off to find it in the toy box and play with it. By the way, he says he thinks other kids will like it, too.

Perfect!
I get this puzzle for all of my friends with little ones. It is a great way to learn colors. Most items show a color with something, then another color with a new object. That makes it difficult for the child to learn the color, because a lot has changed between the items. Here they are the same - all whimsical fish. The only difference is the color. This makes learning colors so easy. My child had them down by about 18 months with this puzzle and I 100% recommend it to any parent. It's a fun and easy puzzle but also a great learning tool.

Independent toddler learning
This item has all the fish the same size. So my daughter doesn’t understand putting them in the right colors yet. But hopefully it will help when she does. Great gift for some one learning colors

Loved For Years By Many Ages
We purchased this over two years ago to keep up north at our cabin. Our kids started playing with it at 1yo and 3yo, and now 3 and 5, they both still play with it. Our oldest enjoys mixing up the colors and then trying to get the back to how they go, our youngest matches them up with the same color. They both play with it, together and alone. It's such a simple puzzle, but still entertaining. WE have given this as a gift as well multiple times, and it always get's played with. Great product, great quality. Good for boys and girls, and wide age range.
