Bamboo Handle Ceramic Knife Set - Eco-friendly Kitchen Knives from Global Kitchen - Set of 4

Fairly nice set of knives, I was looking for something to sort of introduce me into ceramic utensils and this was a great deal. The packaging is great and they all come with covers which is a plus, but in one of my knives you can see the glue seep out from the handle onto the blade where it dried. They are also alittle dull so I purchased a sharpener and now I can't be happier. The handles are nice non-slip bamboo! Overall I'm fairly satisfied but I'll most likely invest in a more expensive set in the future.

Such a bummer, I really wanted these to work, but on the second use, one of the wood handles broke and the blade fell out of the handle. Dangerous. I was only cutting carrots, didn't drop the knife or anything out of the ordinary. Company had good customer service and was good about offering a prompt replacement, but I opted for refund, which they issued after I sent the items back.

The blade came lose from the handle while using the knives. Do not recommend this product.

This is a great knife set ONLY the handle broke and the blade came out of the handle. If the blade could be secured it would be great.

The knives are constructed very well but are not as sharp as I expected. I have used the 5" knife almost everyday since I received them a few weeks ago and it's so dull I had to pull out my old steel knife today. The new one was squishing my tomatoes. Too bad, they are very pretty.Update: I have now had the knives a month and after the one knife was so dull I couldn't use it any longer, I started using the other large knife and the wooden handle broke today and the blade came out!! Very poor quality.

This is a really great set of knives. The handles are eco-friendly sustainable bamboo. The added bonus is that bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal which is fabulous for preparing foods and working in the kitchen. I received this set of Bamboo Handled Ceramice Knives at no cost in order to review and I fell in love the first time I used them. They make preparing salads easier and faster.I am working on eating healthier and having salads made ahead of time makes it so much easier to stay the course and not reach for something unhealthy. I buy all the vegetables I like to put into my salads and make a large bowlful so it is prepared ahead of time so I can just get out what I need at mealtime. With it being already made, I don't leave myself time to wander aimlessly in the kitchen searching for something to eat. These knives have made that task easier. They cut through even tough veggies with ease. I have used them for over a month and each time I am reminded how much I like them. THe white blades might look like they are toys or something less than the metal knives you are used to , butthe blades are razor sharp. Trust me. Just the night before writing this, I was making my weekly bowl of salad and I hit a hard place in a carrot. The knife slipped and I gashed my thumb. It was a freak thing and it doesn't diminish my love for them. The ceramic is super sharp and won't require sharpening for a long time.The bamboo handles in addition to being very attractive, are tough and incredibly light so I don't feel any fatique from handling them. These wash up fast, too. A quick wash with warm soapy water cleans them up so they are ready to use again. There are four knives in the set:~ a 3" Paring Knife~ a 4" Utility Knife~ 5" Slicer Knife~ 6" Chef KnifeEach knife comes with a sheath to protect the blades and your fingers. I love using these knives and would not only recommend them, I would buy these to give. We have several wonderful cooks in the family and I know they would love the form and function of these knives.
