The cord is way too short.Nice material and finishing. Good quality and a lot of fun.I believe the cord is not longer for safety issues but its not very functional as it is. Neither the handle.

My 2 year old and 7 year old love this toy. The whale can be part of imaginative play. The pieces of "food" float as does the whale a bit. The opening and closing action is hard for my 2 year old to do but I think is helping her develop those skills. She loves to push the whale underwater and a gush of water bubbles out the blow hole! Then if you lift it out of the water, a shower comes out of the many holes at the bottom of the toy. Many ways to play with this toy!The top is a hard plastic and the bottom is a flexible material. They can easily be taken apart and put back together. Best of all every inch can be scrubbed or otherwise washed as needed. We have a mildew problem given our humid climate so the fact there there is nowhere for water to get trapped is AWESOME.Best bath toy we have ever purchased. However, I would like to add that I purchased for less than $6 which was a steal. I see that prices do fluctuate and I probably would not pay more than about $10-$12 for this toy.

Was a bit hesitant at first to purchase this at first. Had a "chomping whale" from another company that was more "life-like" but had so many cracks and crevices where water would pool and couldn't reach to clean. However being this one is Boon, I had high Hope's that it would be easier to clean and microbe resistant. So far so good! Its easiest to clean my putting it in the dishwasher, but can still be clean relatively easily by hand. Has been in use for 2 weeks and only washed once - only because of timing, I didn't notice any sort of nasty growth.Both my 21 month old (who it was bought for) and my 5 year old love it. The younger has no problem making the mouth open, so no worries there! It was barely small enough to use as a stocking stuffer though and my kids have larger than normal stockings. But oh well, it checked all the important boxes!

This is hands down one of the most fun bath toys I have seen. I have 3 kids so I have seen many over the past decade. My youngest is 3 and we are both having fun with this one. Excellent value for money, awesome design and lots of imaginative play. What seems like a very simple toy keeps delighting. The mouth opens by pinching the tail. Super easy for little hands and no way to pinch or hurt tiny fingers. The top is a hard plastic and the bottom more of a stiff rubber. It can catch the three wings it comes with pretty easily but can also swallow other bath rings that come with different bath toys. It has a hole at the top if it’s head which creates air bubbles when it is under water. Totally fun surprise. Also has bubbles on the underbelly which not only keep it from trapping water for easy drying but provide perfect upright bouyancy to allow it to float perfectly. It can also each matchbox cars. Although not more than two at once. Great toy especially for the price. Every kid should have one.

My 2 year old daughter loves her bath time as long as she has her bubbles and whale toys.

My 4 year old and 16 month old boys love the whale. It is a bath time favorite. Easy to clean and entertaining! Highly recommend.

My kids love this as a bath toy. Its pretty easy for them to hook the "fish" which is nice since they are toddlers. The winding aspect is very easy for my toddlers, although it does go up and down by turning it in the same direction - this aspect is good my duo, but for kids who are used to a fishing line that stops at the end, they might not like it. The length of the string is pretty short, which has it's pluses and minuses. I have two kids in the tub at once, so the shorter length works well, but it's kind of a bummer when playing and winding too.I'm a bit concerned about mold/mildew since water gets into the fishing pole. I clean it with vinegar, and we've had it for about 6 weeks with no issues, so I'm just hoping it keeps lasting.

Little smaller than expected for the price but our son seems happy with it. He likes using it for pouring and letting the water run through. Easy to clean or dry out which is a big plus for bath toys.

Well made and lovely bath toy.Update: really liked it at first, but after a few months black mouldy stains started to appear on the rubbery bottom half of the mouth...

Very cute and simple toy that's great for toddlers to practice coordination.

Bought as a gift for my friends 18 month old boy and he loves it, massive hit!

It is a good toy but just think its a bit pricey for what it is.
