LED's for Pier Lighting
I did a lot of research for LED lights for the end of my pier. I tried 120v LED's that didn't work so I thought I'd try 12v. The other requirement was being waterproof and these seem to be just what I am looking for. Got them installed yesterday and the jury is still out on how long they will last. They work just the way I hoped by giving the area over my cleaning table a great amount of light. I chose the off road lights because if they are mounted on the front of a jeep or 4wd truck they should be rated for heavy duty. So if all things are equal, these should last a long time. The case got fairly hot but not overly so. The 12v power supply is waterproof too and it stays very cool so I'm happy that all is good. I'll try to update this review after a couple of months of use. If you are going to put them on a 4wd vehicle, they should be a very nice compact addition. They put out a fair amount of light and the price is right.

Great light, fast ship, project done.
I've been meaning to put a floodlight on the back of my tractor for when I'm snow lowing, but I keep putting it off. This week I finally decided to order a light and install it, and thanks to some quick shipping I got it in the mail before Friday so I could take advantage of a day off to get it done. It installed quickly with the included bracket, and is very effective with minimal current draw. I may buy another to add to the front of the tractor...

Fantastic!
Like a lot of other reviewers, I have no idea how they can sell these things so cheaply, considering how good they are! I got two of them to replace my old standard 55 watt halogen back-up lights I added to my truck a while ago. These are much brighter, have a much more even (and wider) beam of light, consume half the power, and in theory will last until the truck is a heap of rust. There is a lot of metal in these and they appear to be very well-made. I say "appear" because I can't see inside them to determine if the LEDs are properly mounted to the heat sink or other things, but so far so good. My old lights grounded through the mounting bracket but these came with a two-wire connection. I didn't realize until I read one of the questions/answers on this page that these lights are also grounded through the bracket, so I didn't have to use the ground wire (I soldered a ring terminal onto it and put it on the mounting bolt). One thing I did that I highly recommend is to thoroughly clean the grommet where the wires come out, using something strong like alcohol, and gooping it up with silicone (real silicone, not acrylic/latex anything). There is a visible gap between the wires and the inside of the rubber grommet when you bend the wires even a little bit, so sealing that up should keep the lights running forever.I saw what looks to be (and probably is) the same unit in a Northern Tool catalog and they want something like $74 EACH for these!

The light output is amazing when compared to traditional halogen/fog lights
The light output is amazing when compared to traditional halogen/fog lights. Use these for rear back up lights on 2014 Ram 3500 and also have them roof mounted on a JD Gator. Fantastic flood pattern which lights up immediately around both vehicles, which is what's needed in my applications. If you want longer range, pick a different light pattern. One unit has developed moisture inside the lens, but all LEDS within the unit are working. I'll likely use a sealant around the lens and wire entry to help minimize water intrusion in the future.Update: After about 18 months of use as a backup light on Ram 3500 one light has 2 LEDs (out of 9) that are not working. Truck is only used occasionally (2-6 uses per month) so a bit disappointed in the partial failure. They are also not as watertight as they claim.

Short run time
I use these on the back of an F350 for backup Snow plow lights they're bright but they don't last very long have to replace them twice a year during the Winter months

Rugged & Bright - An Amazing Value
I agreed to evaluate this TMH spot lamp from LED Village after purchasing a pair of the flood beam version of the same unit. As with the flood lamps, this thing is very impressive. The aluminum housing is very rugged and comes with stainless steel hardware. It is not the highest grade stainless but better than using nickel plated bolts that will quickly rust. The mount is simple, sturdy and functional. The lens is crystal clear and appears to be hermetically sealed. When running some electrical tests I observed that the lamp throws a very intense, focused beam which complements the flood lamps nicely. The measured brightness across the central beam was narrow and symmetrical as advertised. The measured current (I) draw was only 1150 milliamps @ 13.47VDC.Applications: Of course I will have to purchase more to make it happen but, I have applications that include my tractor, pickup camper, Jeep and possibly over the deck area of two trailers. They are bit large for my quads and snowmobiles but TMH also makes a model that is a perfect size for those too. The construction of these lamps appears water tight but I did not test for this. So, as a precaution for marine applications, I would highly recommend applying additional sealant where the cable enters the housing. Moist salt air is a real killer for electronics!Bottom line: These are impressive lamps in general but, for the money, they are a fantastic value. Thanks LED Village!

Good and bright
Good and bright. Not bad for the price. However, I disappointed because the specifications are misleading. The light claims to be 27W,however when powered from a 12V battery, the current draw is is a little over 1.5A which makes them more like 18W. This means that the 2160 lumen brightness would be questionable and is probably more in line with other similar lights that are rated around 1500 lumen. Wish vendors would stick to the facts when advertising their products.
