Such a fun and surprising adventure!
So I’ll admit, this book took me a long time to get into. At first I wasn’t attached to the characters, the story, or the way they talked. The first half was good and enjoyable but nothing really made me feel like I needed to pick it up again. However, a little after the halfway point, I just got submerged into the world and I just started absolutely loving it. I started loving the characters, the story, the world, and the way they talked. I felt like the characters were all my family and I genuinely miss the world and characters now that the story is over. I’m not exactly sure what changed but I’m glad it did. I absolutely cannot wait for the sequel to revisit everything. This book was obviously just opening the door for book two which I can already tell is just going to be amazing and full of tons of surprises.

I hate giving this 3 stars but...
I hate giving this three stars but I just couldn't get into it till I was about 50% in. I had put it down several times. There were also moments I was slightly confused at what was going on. It was engaging but choppy if that makes sense. Another thing that bothered me was Ebba-Viva's maturity. I will read the next book but I am going to have to reread this one to remember what happened.

I was completely mesmerized by these characters and the adventure they have begun.
I've read collaborations with this author but never a book she wrote on her own, and I was completely mesmerized. Her pirate theme was exactly what I needed for a fun day of reading.Ebba-Viva Fairisles is a beautiful 17-year-old pirate. She dropped into her fathers' lives as an infant, and they raised her aboard their pirate ship, teaching her everything she would need to know to sail and be the pirate she has become. The six men who sail the ship decided among themselves that they would do one good thing with their lives and raise Ebba-Viva. When her inquisitive ways lead her to directions to a treasure that could possibly be the end of their pirating ways, the adventure begins. But it isn't an easy path. They face malevolent evil, threats of capture, and magic that shouldn't exist. Will they survive long enough to find the treasure that could mean they could retire? And what of the magic that has suddenly made its way back into this plane?I was enthralled from the moment the book opens until the last page. It's a story filled with fantastic and frightening creatures and adventures that had me holding my breath in anticipation of their survival. Ebba's fathers are all unique and quirky, but they fit together. She is a teenaged girl who is trying so hard to be tough that she has a tendency to go one step too far, and her mouth keeps getting her into more trouble than she can handle. I'm hoping there's a hint of a love story somewhere in her future. It would be fun to watch her navigate those kinds of feelings. I just enjoyed this novel so much, and the characters have woven a place in my heart. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Pirates and adventure!
I was super excited to be given advanced copy (at no cost to the author) of this book to read, especially since I have read every single thing from Kelly St.Clare. I first stumbled across The Darkest Drae series co-authored with Raye Wagner. If you haven’t read that series...you must, I read each book straight through forgoing sleep and study time. So worth it! From there, I read The Tainted Accords series (and all the novellas, can't wait for Shard to be released) same thing, sleep and study time went out the window. And it happened again with The After Trilogy. So of course, I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to read the newest series. I enjoy the authors style of writing and the development of strong female lead characters.Plus, who doesn’t love pirates? This book had me smiling from the start, the dialogue between the characters is colorful and it’s just a lot of fun to read pirate!!! I have enjoyed meeting all of the characters and can not wait for the book 2!

Can't Wait for the Next One!
When Kelly St. Clare announced that she was writing a pirate book, I was excited. Who doesn't love a good pirate adventure?! And Immortal Plunder doesn't disappoint. Ebba is the main character, a 17 year old pirate with six fathers who loves her life on the sea. She's not ready to be an adult and she definitely doesn't embrace change. But change happens to everyone and through a series of crazy events, Ebba finds herself on the biggest adventure of her life!I really love all of Kelly's books and this one felt completely new and fresh. I honestly wasn't sure about Ebba at first. The pirate speech took me a little while to get into. I didn't understand Ebba's desire to remain a child, but quickly I was pulled into the story and Ebba's evolution as a character. Her six fathers each have distinct personalities and are interesting characters that revolve around Ebba. All in all, I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next one!!!

Best Book Bound Plunder Around
I thoroughly enjoyed this and am very much looking forward to the next installment. This world and it’s people feel authentic, and the adventure is enthralling. I don’t think it’s possible not to fall in love with Ebba and her fathers. There are SO many loose ends at the end of this book, that it was a bit of a shock to reach the last page! But that only means the next one will be just as exciting. If you have a love of pirates and the long ago mariners age, this will certainly be a good fit. I loved every nod to seafaring superstitions, and the tales that turned out to be true. Fabulous read!

Pirates... Need I say more?
Once you get past that there is a different language (pirate), that one girl has many fathers and is not a girl, but a pirate, this story really drags you in! Like in all Kellys books the characters are engaging and have room for growth and transformation. It is a funny book, full of mythical adventures. I feel like I am sure to have a good chin wiggle with all the other fans regarding theories and parts of the book I enjoyed! I recommend to give it a try, even if pirates aren't your thing. There is some great underlying themes and it feels like one of those books that will grow with the main character. Looking forward to reading the second!

Shiver me timbers, what an awesome book!
I was a bit unsure of this book going into reading it. I mean, I'm a big fan of the authors and have devoured anything she's ever written however I wasn't 100% sure on what I was going to get with this book. Well blow me down and call me an idiot, I really don't know what I was worried about as this book was amazing! I read it all in one sitting and just couldn't put it down. It is really, really hard to find any decent pirate books and out of those I've read Immortal Plunder is definitely one that I would recommend to others and re read over and over again (the other one is the Phantom Islanders series by Ednah Walters).Ebba-Viva is a great character, slightly naive and young in places which made me cringe a bit, but she has a heart of gold that is mostly in the right place. I love her six father's, all different and characters in their own right. I loved how we had some mythology in the story and how I could almost taste that salty sea air whilst reading. This really was an exciting read that had me thoroughly invested in the story. I'm very much looking forward to reading the second book and am not sure how long I'll be able to patiently wait for it. A five star read for me, and if I could I'd give it more. Don't be a dozy like I was at first, pick this up and read it now as this is an amazing read you don't want to miss out on.

The pirate story I’ve been longing for!!
Wow.....just wow!!!! What an epic series opener I can still feel the sea breeze in my hair and smell the salt in the air after my time aboard The Felicity!!!!! This author always brings a level of world building and depth that blows my mind - I have lived this adventure in my imagination as a member of the crew. Ebba and her fathers are a loving and funny crew, a true family though unconventional it totally works. This is a thrilling page turner that you won’t be able to put down and will have you talking ‘pirate’ and singing sea shanties lol. Five stars from me and I cannot wait for the next one 😁

This book had me hooked from the first few chapters, it sets the characters and the world Ebba lives in for the rest of the series and I'm looking forward to learning if my theory about certain characters is correct!I recommend you give it a go if you love everything else Kelly St Clare has done as you'll love it and want to read more about Ebba and her crew!

Incredible!
I absolutely, unequivocally, LOVED this book. Pirates and all the dads and so much going on and magic and... wow. Kelly St Clare has written yet another amazing book.Ebba is a nice take on a heroine and I liked the touches of innocence to her. Such an endearing quality and one that invited her into my heart which then proceeded to make a camp for her. I fear that she may be stuck there permanently and I might physically need to read the next one immediately... please...Anyway, read this. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.
