Countryman B3W4FF05BSR B3 Omni-Directional Wireless Round Lavalier Microphone for Sennheiser Transmitters (Black)

B3's are pretty small and easy to hide. They sound very good considering they are only 200 bucks. Lower budget productions are happy that they don't have to pay 450 bucks for a replacement if they get broken. Good for crash mics too since they are water resistant and relatively cheap.Would I rather use DPA or sanken, sure but I save those for the real gigs

I used it four times (in 1 month) and then it stopped functioning correctly. It had an intermittent connection problem in the 3.5mm connector which created interference and thus render alls recordings useless. This happened in the middle of a series of interviews with my client. It made me look like an amateur. I had a wired lav option that saved me though. When I contacted Coutryman customer service they acknowledged the mic had a fabrication/material failure and told me they would resolder it and send it back (ground shipping to Mexico!). I obviously requested a replacement and they told me that the rest of the mic was ok so if I wanted a replacement I would have to pay 120 usd!!!! As nonsense as that can be. I believe Countryman's customer service is really bad even compared to customer service in Mexico. The mic is good and relatively not expensive, but it failed after one month and company's customer service is poor. No next time for Countryman. I better spend a 100 usd more and get pro quality products and pro customer service from Senheiser.

I was looking forward to using this microphone. It was a customer opened unit from DVe Store shipped through Prime. Sadly enough it was totally dead when plugged into both a G2 and G3 Sennheiser wireless systems. Stock ME2 mic worked perfect on both. Huge disappointment and a waste of time.

Bought 2 of these mics and one sounds great while the other sounds like a completely different mic. I've tried all the different capsules on both mics on different transmitters and concluded I got a bad microphone!

The connection from cable to mini-plug failed after about six uses. Dissappointed. Countryman is known for quality and durability. Maybe just a bad one. I'm seeking replacement now.

Got a defective unit too. Looks like I'm the third person for this to happen to who took the time to review. Connector looks like gross, reclaimed metal or something.I'll be sending it back and contacting Countryman directly. I'll update this review as soon as I get a resolution. Wish I could charge them for the rental I'll now need for the next 3 days :(
