Perfect sizing for a two-way door
I knew this would be too long for the bottom of my shower door, but I was planning to trim to the correct length and use the excess to go up the hinged side of the door, to help block even more water from escaping in the corner. Much to my surprise and delight, the excess piece was the PERFECT size to fit between the main sweep and the door's hinge. I couldn't have asked for a better size.I recommend cutting with an exacto knife or other sharp blade. I didn't have an exacto knife around, so I cut to length with a hacksaw and cleaned up the cut edge with a piece of 120 grit sandpaper; it cleaned up nicely. Plan ahead and cut the side that will be on the hinge-side of the door, then it won't matter if the cut isn't perfect, since the factory-finished edge will be on the open side of the door.Annoyingly, the sweep did have a barcode label strongly affixed to it. It came off with soap, warm water, scrubbing, and some rubbing alcohol to remove remaining glue residue. But there are better ways to label this type of product than gluing a sticker onto it.One caution: I find that the double silicone flaps on this sweep have a tendency to make the door only go one direction if they stop in a certain way. When this happens, I need to move the door about an inch to reposition the flaps before I can open the door in the other direction. If you're buying this, you probably have a two-way swinging door... but if your door only opens in one direction, this could be a problem. I imagine cutting one of the flaps off would solve this.

Don't put off ordering this
I've had a drippy shower for a while and delayed getting a sweep because I wasn't sure it would fit, wasn't confident I could install, etc. That was all bogus thinking on my part - I measured the width, and it fit perfectly and was a cinch to slide on. I used my garden clippers to snip off the excess length. Don't delay, you can do this. And no more wet floor.

This is exactly what I needed. I have a MAX framed shower door and couldn't find any replacement parts for it so this universal product was my best option. I cut the right size and it popped solidly right in place. There were gaps on both sides after cutting the piece since my door is not a standard shape. So I cut two little piece for both edges and it is now 99% sealed. There is no water dripping outside the shower which is great. My door width was an odd size so I would not know for standard sizes but this piece fit perfectly on my door.

Worked perfectly
My shower door has low clearance between the bottom of the swinging door and the shower base. I originally purchased a sweep at the big box store assuming they were all alike, but it did not fit my door properly. I chose this sweep because it looked to have a narrow flange on the bottom. And luckily I was right, this sweep worked perfectly. It is a hard plastic and I used a hand saw to trim to length. It was easy to slide on but stays on securely. I plan to order a spare to keep for replacement in the future. Fast shipping too. I am happy.
