It works for me.
I have familial tremor in my right hand. This spoon really helps soup and other liquid get to my mouth without spilling. Even on a bad day it minimizes the spills. The larger handle helps. It might even be nice if it was bigger but I have large hands. I don't like the little groves in the plastic at the top by the spoon because if you get liquid on it it drips. Otherwise I really like it.

Super helpful!!
my dad loves this spoon. He has parkinsons disease so eating soup isn't the easiest thing for him. With this spoon he doesn't have to try to bend his head down to reach the soup. With the lip on the edge of the spoon, his soup doesn't spill like it used to. Great help to my disabled dad!!

Works great.
Bought for my mother who has trouble holding things in her hands. The handle on this in not as thick as another set I bought her and she says it is easier to use in a bowl. Also raised edges help hold soup, milk, etc on the spoon.

she had great difficulty holding a normal fork or spoon and refused ...
Got this for my mom who has arthritis in one hand (the one she does everything with) Before using it, she had great difficulty holding a normal fork or spoon and refused to let caregivers feed her (she's in a group home) Now, she can feed herself. I'm really happy I found both fork and spoon.

Metal in soup spoon too thin
Have used this soup spoon and all the other weighted utensils for my MS going on two years. The soup spoon is my least favorite. The metal is much thinner than any other. Works well but transfer of heat in the metal makes the spoon very hot when eating soup. Seems like the spoon burns my lips. Ordering tablespoons today in hopes they are as nice as the fork and teaspoon.

Great spoon
As an occupational therapist, I use this with students for scooping practice. I don't have kids eat with it, so I can't speak to that. But I will say it is the perfect weight and the ladle part works well enough for dried rice, dried beans, etc.

Stop spilling ....
Bought for my MIL who has not been too good after series of mini strokes. This spoon is marvelous. Now I want to get the fork that goes with it.
