(Thankfully, the price has gone down to where we can afford it again.) It just is the best. This litter, along with a Johnny Cat liner and disposable litter pan, has made my clean up time a whole lot easier.I just set the Johnny Cat disposable liner in the litter pan, (I buy them at Wally World.) then I set the disposable litter pan on that. (They are for sale here on Amazon and at PetSmart.) They are made with baking soda in them and lasts two weeks with our two cats, and one of them pees a lot. They really do help with urine smell.Both of our boys always pees on one side, of the litter pan. Now, when they do, the disposable box absorbs it. I hated how litter would get soggy and the bottom, of the bin would become stained. So, with it and Ultra Kitty, I have the ideal combination.I am going to love having this set up when our bitter Minnesota winter gets here. Before, I had to put on my outer garments and boots, stand in the freezing cold and dump the litter into our garbage can. Then I had to put that into our trash bin. Now, all I have to do is pull the liner up over the disposable litter pan, tie it and dispose in the garbage. It is just that simple. This sure is going to be great during our freezing Minnesota winters. And, also, at my age, anything that saves my back, keeps me from freezing (in these bitter Minnesota winters) and saves me money, I am all for it.First Review: After trying clay, pine pellets and wheat, I finally, found a litter Max will use. Before, I was cleaning up poo, off my floor, every day. At least, he had the right idea. He would go close to the pan, but hotgo in the pan. Triedltra Micro Crystals. It has changed every thing I hated about litter. It is easy to scoop out the poo, which it neutralizes within seconds. It only takes me a few seconds compared to 10 minutes dealing with litter that stuck to the box and became like wet cement. When I tried using the pine pellets, (I even had a system made for them), the sawdust did not go into the bottom bin like shown on videos. And Max hated them. I mean really hated them. He would pee in it, but he would not poo.A friend gave me an expensive litter that was suppose to indicate if your cat has a kidney or urinary problem. It did nothing for that. Our Kit's kidneys were failing and we didn't have a clue. {That litter didn't show a thing except both cats were urinary healthy.} It did, however, get Max to stop going outside the box.I am one to save a buck wherever I can so I started doing research for a cheaper alternative. That is when I found this. From now on, I am using this litter. It isn't dusty, it stays fresh for a long long time and it is super easy to clean. My pockets thank you.No more struggling to carry a huge litter pan to the bathroom. These crystals are a win win all around. My sanity and health thanks you.After 30 years of lots of cats and every imaginable type of litter, I, finally, found the one I'm sticking with. (Excuse the pun.)

I was getting the fresh scent version of this product but the smell bothered me. The unscented meets my needs. And my cat's. It's a great price for what you get. It works well in the automatic litter box.Also, I think some people get hung up on the dust. I've never had a problem with it. I prefer the micro-crystals to bigger crystals because they aren't so icky when my cat tracks them around the house.

I bought this to mix with another silica cat litter that my cystitis cat needs to use since it was less expensive. It absorbs pretty well, but it does take some time for it to absorb liquid all the way. It does not clump at all, so cleaning it is kind of a pain. I ended up using a child's sand shovel to get out the used silica. Trying to use the regular litter scoop, it just ran straight through and was spread in with the clean sand. Because of cystitis, I need to have the litter as clean as possible so I can monitor his usage and how much he's going, so this made it more inconvenient. The scent is okay, it's not strong or flowery or anything offputting. I'm not sure if I'd buy it again, but it works okay.

Even the best name brand clay based cat litter is not only heavy but unavoidably stinky. This litter removes liquid from the waste and not only masks the odor but is safe for my animals. I switched over a year ago to this item at such a reasonable price point. It’s also SO lightweight so scooping litter is easier on my back.

Gave it 3 stars, debating between 4 and 3. It IS UNBELIEVABLY DUSTY. I have black curtains in my bathroom and it’s all white due to dust! I can smell dust in my entire apartment after I clean the litter. And I’m not an aggressive scooper. It’s is not dusty when you poor it new in the box. That’s after about 2 days of cats using the litter. It does great job hiding odors. My asthmatic fiancée started experiencing soreness of breath and constantly coughing. And now I noticed my cats cough too!!!! When I experimented with other non crystal litter he wasn’t coughing!!

I used to use regular litter. Then I tried clumping with lovely scents. Then I had my eyes opened to the silica based litters. And I am so happy I found this product. It's been the best litter product I've ever used. Hands down, no lies. And I'm not being paid to say it. I've had cats all my life. And finding litter and a correct litter box has been a lifelong struggle. Until discovering this product, the ModKat litter box, and the Litter Genie Easy Roll Pail.No one likes to clean, or smell a litter box. So finding these products is like heaven. Crystals really absorb the urine and its smell. It dries quickly. Poo dries up also quickly. So this keeps the smell down as well. It has a low dust factor. Let's be honest it's low tracking, but no kind of litter will ever manage to stay inside of the litter pan. It's impossible. I just use a mat to trap most of what makes it out. It doesn't last a month with 2 cats its usually about 3 weeks if cleaned 1-2x daily or more. But for the price point, and based on same kind of litters (Pretty Litter (skip this product it is junk too)) it's worth every penny.I always get compliments that my house doesn't smell. I would not back products I don't believe in or use. But these products are my fave and I use them daily. Just give them a chance, and you'll be a believer too. Simple to use, easy to clean, time saving, and quite simply they all work100% like they are intended and are stated to. Then write your own positive review.
